Administrator Toups Posted January 11, 2010 Administrator Share Posted January 11, 2010 http://www.deadline....reboot-planned/ Wow!! Pretty shocking news that they're rebooting. Okay so time to recast! Who would be a good Director, Spiderman/PP, Mary Jane? Or go with an unknown cast?
Members dragonflies
IMO I don't see a reboot going over well at all. Tobey IS the quintessential Spider Man. Wouldn't it just be easier to hire a new director?
Members All My Shadows
This is so stupid. WHY do people need to remake, yes REMAKE, movies that are less than 10 years old? "Reboot" my ass. It's called you don't have any original ideas, idiots.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I wish they wouldn't reboot so soon, but I'm happy they're ending the franchise now. I thought Spiderman 3 sucked ass.
Members Sylph
Hire Shane Black as writer. Tobey sucks as Spider-Man.

Administrator Toups Posted October 2, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted October 2, 2010 I like Emma Stone, so I'm fine with her being MJ. http://www.deadline.com/2010/10/glees-dianna-agron-georgina-haig-tangled-in-spidey-love-interest-web/ Sony Pictures Entertainment will imminently offer the role of Mary Jane Watson to Emma Stone, who starred for the studio in Zombieland and Easy A. It's another good role for Stone, who is currently shooting the Tate Taylor-directed adaptation of the Kathryn Stockett bestseller The Help for DreamWorks. She plays Skeeter, the college student who comes home determined to expose the class differences between the matriarchs and their house servants in the South in 1962. That leaves the four other actresses I mentioned yesterday (with the possibility they could widen the search) for the role of Gwen Stacy. Those contenders are Glee's Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig and Dominique McElligott. Stacy, played in Spiderman 3 by Bryce Dallas Howard, is a plum part for the first installment of the 3D Marc Webb-directed reboot of Spider-Man, because she is the first love interest of the high school-aged Peter Parker, played by Andrew Garfield. Mary Jane--played by Kirsten Dunst in the Sam Raimi-directed trilogy--becomes more pivotal in the later installments of the Spidey saga.
