This guy is too talented not to be working regularly. And I can't believe Brianne Moncrief had a hand in getting him cast. It sounds like he's ok with not moving to Los Angeles. I loved this part of the interview:

As you know, Pete’s character is basically defined by his love for Colby, so I thought it was completely out of character for him (after pining after Colby this last year and a half) just to skip town. So, I said, “Mr. Pratt doesn’t normally care about character integrity (laughs) … he’s more into storylines, but I think we owe it to the fans to at least have a goodbye episode if Pete does indeed leave.” But, that wasn’t granted.

ETA: And he borrowed a suit from his character's wardrobe? I hope it was for a costume party because Petey's wardrobe is too nerdy for formal use.

Amen.

AMC is stupid for not keeping him.

ABC will never learn. They keep horrible BA as Spinelli on GH and get rid of talented Daniel Kennedy on AMC.

I'm glad that the "confirmed bachelor" thing went over his head... or did it?

I was hoping he'd come with Opral--what a waste, finally a young character played by a decent actor with history to the show. I liked that they played him as a nerd but not a totally cliche, unrealistic one (for the most part0)

Agreed, not a cliche. He definitely humanized the role.

ITA. He turned Petey into an interesting heartwarming character. I will always love the scene where Petey declares his love to Colby and walks into the door. One of my favorite romantic moments. I hope that Broderick wises up and decides to bring back Petey and take Daniel to LA. AMC is a show without a lot of young compelling leading men. If he stayed with the show, he could be its future.

Petey is what GH wishes cartoonish Spinellie would be.

Exactly--I'm sure even the most cool high school kids could relate to some of Petey's scenes--could ANYONE human relate to Spinelli?

Friday, when James Franco debut, I watched the show and saw the guy who plays Spinelli. I don't get it. Why is he on that show? No appeal whatsoever.

I found on You Tube my favorite Petey scene where he declares his love for Colby. He is so earnest and romantic. I saw the new Colby. She isn't bad. Daniel as Petey would make her better. I hope Broderick brings back Daniel as Petey. Here is the clip: http://www.youtube.c...feature=related

 How do you not write for this guy? This actor is genius. And that scene. I remember that. It just screams young love. This is a breakout couple. C'mon Lorraine Broderick this story writes itself.

And he's one of TAD'S brothers.

The comedic potential is limitless.
