Does anyone know why Holly sent Harley a basket with poisoned fruit in 1998?

I was reading a recap and Blake went to Holly asking for $50,000 but not Roger herself?!  Another example how dumbed down Blake became. This soap is so stupid at this point, I just can't help but laugh.  The money must have been so good, Liz wouldn't quit.

Because in Holly's eyes Harley was not a good mom..(I am sure giving Susan up for adoption...though she probably would have encouraged her to do so when trashtastic Daisy came back..) Roger fails to exist from this point on until Sebastian...per MADD.

I did hate how Blake post 93/94 entire life revolves around Ross..she does not seem to work, she is having out at the diner of all places constantly, and then she has the kids and spends her time horning on Ben for...reasons???/

Blake worked for the short-lived Harley’s Angels and wrote romance novels. Plus, she had three small children. And her blog, SPRINGFIELD BURNS!

That managing Company at the end was weird.

Every single thing here sounds like stuff Nola should have done, not Blake.

@Mitch64 I guess her messing up with committing a crime for Ross' Senate bid and her and Alan Michael messing up and having Jenna win the case would be a clue. LOL

@anthonymolchan  When was the Harley's Angels?  Did it end in 98 when Jenna died?

@DeeVee What happened with Nola in 98 and after?  I know Bridget left (dumb move).

@Mitch64 Still trying to wrap my mind around Holly being that evil.

If my math is correct, Elizabeth Keifer clocked in 17 years without a break, so she had the third longest run by the time of the final episode.

OMG...I love finding episodes in English! Vanessa called Nadine a hothouse flower! OMG!! Yes, I know it sounds old-fashioned and barely more than meek description, but if you know Vanessa's history, that's the equivalent of a mike drop.

@alwaysAMC @P.J.  That's why killing off Nadine was stupid.  Jordan Clarke came back.  Did the actress want out?

@kalbir Good for her, but I can't even handle watching anything beyond 1994.

According to Megan McTavish's unreleased/unfinished memoir - no, she didn't want out. In fact, she pushed Megan to give her a storyline, which didn't go over well with Megan, so she decided Nadine is going to die instead. It was rather bullish/flippant of Megan, but there are always two sides to a story.

Just to give an example of how bad things got in 1997 (the same year Michael Zaslow left the show in April 1997), there is a dinner scene that has Amanda speaking and a dude with grey hair beside her saying absolutely nothing!  Is that supposed to be Roger? Roger saying nothing?  Seriously? Horrible writing.

Was this because of Michael's agreement to be cut to two days of work instead of 4 and Dennis inherited it? Nothing like the 1990 small dinner party I posted a couple of posts back that was so funny & also showed the tension with Phillip's resentment of Roger acting as if he were head of the house.

I also noticed that in the scene where Amanda and Roger are at a boring dinner held by Blake for the 'grandparents' that Amanda and Roger barely touch, and this is after Amanda & Roger got back together with a real engagement.

Michael's version of Roger always made sure to be caressing Amanda, being very close, etc. in scenes like this.  Makes no sense.

@alwaysAMC Wow, that makes it worse! Billy had to make a fool of himself going after Cassie.  Did they even try to have Billy go after Vanessa?

@Speed Racer I am glad you found the Vault.  I put archive by mistake.

August 22 1989. See also for fabulousness the entire Van/Holly exchange.

FYI, the reason Van calling anyone a hothouse flower is an insult---when HB first met her, he called her a hothouse flower. And she hated it.

Speaking of Vanessa, this was earlier in August of 89. This episode is so good! Makes me nostalgic.

Harley’s Angels was founded in 2002. It kind of fizzled out as a plot point. Mel was already a doctor and then became a lawyer.

Ok, I don't get it. LOL.  Did Harley leave or why did they go nowhere?

Anyone else think that Liz and Jenn Lilly look like sisters or Mother/Daughter?

Um...I will say I am surprised that the Vanessa/Nadine rivalry just pretty much stopped dead in it's tracks after the Peter reveal. Of course, I don't watch past mid-'93, so maybe there's moments that I don't know about. But per Jean Carol's perspective, she stopped working with people she'd worked with for years, so I guess they booted her to the Cooper storyline.

However, I don't think there was a way they could've ever gone back to Billy/Nadine. Nadine had committed two unpardonable sins---she'd hurt Vanessa and then she was complicit in hurting HB. He wouldn't have gone back to her after hurting Van except for the baby. He may not have hated her, but there was no way he was ever going to trust her again.
