Wonderful!  Thanks for sharing.  We all need to see some talent like that occasionally.

She & Robert both have playlists. I'm just partial to the duets.

But didn't Kelly and Nola hook-up while he was involved with Morgan, giving Nola the excuse to say her baby was Kelly's?   Wasn't that pretty much the thing that kept Kelly and Morgan apart for a while?

Kelly and Morgan were on again/off again. They had sex shortly after she arrived in town , but she runs away and then gets raped. Nola manipulated Morgan while she's dealing with the trauma, and then slid into Kelly's bed.

And I happened to be at a public swimming pool on the afternoon of their wedding, and people at the pool had found a way to listen to Guiding Light on the radio!  Yes, the radio.  I'm not kidding!   No idea how they worked that out, but people at the pool were huddled around a radio listening to Kelly and Morgan's wedding.

And while we couldn't listen to GL, I definitely remember one of my classmates having a boombox and a bunch of us listening to Y&R over lunch.

Apparently, it is possible with the use of a TV radio, something I had never heard of until recently.

I guess Kelly and Nola were eventually meant to be a couple for real (or maybe a Josh/Nola/Kelly/Morgan quad).

doug marland’s papers are at the wisconsin historical society. in his gl longterm, nola and kelly were indeed the end game. wasn’t aware that it was the chemistry between nola and quint that changed his mind.

Wait....what? Any idea why his papers are at Wisconsin?

Ah..GL was big competition to swimming pools that summer as we all had to run in from the pool when someone yelled out "Hey, Nola is about to get hers!" during the Nola/Kelly iconic scene.  I think Kelly and Morgan worked quite a bit just because of plot..it was so much fun to watch Nola scheme and plot and the lies people bought..Kelly and Morgan were just two dupes.

I wish they had brought JWS back for a one or two day quest stint (maybe the Bauer BBQ) during Nola's second go around...but that would have taken a lot of work, and McTrash remembering history. "You dodged a bullet, Morgan is a toothless meth head....poor dear!"

Speaking of, it would have been fun, if they insisted on Nola being a wronged bitter woman, to have her revert to form and be hell on wheels, a divorce with Chamberlin cash, instead of needling Van, outright fighting her, finding out about Ed and Lillian and making them pay, taking Dinah's side against Van to bug her...."There there, Aunt Nola understands, your mother is just guilty over dumping you as a baby to grow up with carny folk..we really must try to understand her." Anything would have been better then the mope who had Budgie's Chele tell her off in a room full of people!

I always thought Reva had more sexual chemistry with Billy than with Josh.  With Josh it always felt a little forced.

When Reva first came to town and Billy HATED her, the whole thing was infused with Billy wanting to bang Reva again. The whole southern potboiler plot of two brothers and a dad wanting to jump on Reva...(and Zimmer was sex on a STICK back then) was great with sexual tension.  Then when they became friends and post resurrection...Zimmer and Clark just had a warm chemistry...her face lit up when he was in a scene and Reva became kind of her old self..for a moment or two. Newman and Zimmer do have chemistry, it's just that it got old and worn out as again, the fans wouldn't let Jeva go. I thought Newman had great chemistry with FH when they were testing them..and Zimmer needed an acting partner that did not let her get away with her little "cheats" as she called it.

While I grew to like ME as Dylan...Reva and Billy's kid should not have been that mellow and more of a (not so annoying) Jonathon type.

the Kelly/Nola reveal seemed to go on forever, and was so delicious!

GL completely chickened out and made them "friends" after that. Billy always should've had a certain level of disdain for that woman. But because only "bad" people would hate Reva (no matter how much [!@#$%^&*] she pulled)...*sigh*

Ditto on ME. I can appreciate how much he grew, but he was written more like Josh's kid than Billy's.

That is why I thought Jonathon should have been Eddie's...two psychos..(oh no..Jon was just..misuderstood..) and could reveal Reva to once again be the lying ho bag into banging brothers...(and I liked Reva..original recipe..) She just found it easier to "forget" she got drunk during a San Crud reception of boring blonde islanders and did Eds in the service pantry.....now THAT would have got me watching that. Would have given Jonathon a reason to hate Reva again (so boring when they were buds..)

I was watching old episodes and Reva didn't put up with any of Dylan's crap and he wasn't half as crazy as Jon..he wore a leather jacket and said.."man" a lot was all!

sorry didn’t mean to be snippy. the wisconsin historical has an extensive collection of popular culture materials.

anyone who’s doing serious research on soaps will spend some time in madison — a very cool town.

I liked the Billy and Reva friendship because I felt like he knew the real her and accepted her, which Josh never could. He also had a lot of self-loathing, which the show never did a great deal with, but fit him to Reva.

I do think Reva got off too lightly with the Lewis family for bedding three of them (and four if Kyle had been HB's son), but as @Mitch64 mentioned before, Reva was more of a man's woman. It's one of the reasons throwing a few female friends at her when she came back never really worked, maybe other than Abigail.

I think Holly and Reva worked when they interacted since both were more of a man's woman...and were different enough from one another that they wouldn't be threatened by the other.

Plus, both actresses kept wanting to work with one another going back to the late 80s.

LOL...that might've made sense re: Jon. You just know if the show had continued, they'd have found a way to give Reva some Amish kid. Or have another half-sibling of Billy's show up in town for Reva to swoon over.

I guess my main critique of the "friendship" is that it tilts heavily in Reva's favor. Some of that is due to timing (as Reva's dead when Billy starts up drinking), but Billy's constantly her cheerleader. I know she rarely had a close woman friend to confide in (other than Abby, I could only remember her sisters.) While she and Vanessa are usually on good terms, (which is it's own WTF) I wouldn't call them close.

I think Billy was just as guilty of seeing the Reva he wanted as opposed to who Reva was. He was hung up on "fun" Reva. (Nadine is the knockoff version.) SeriousReva need not apply.

I think Billy always measured himself by HB and Josh. He wanted to fill HB's shoes, but he knew HB admired Josh's independent streak. So Billy came up short both ways.
