GL: September Discussion

Natalia was preggers, but the actress had just given birth, and the brainiacs at GL didnt have the character become preggers until after the actress delivered. She actually looked much more preggers before, and yes, they made no attempt to hide it, the new production process and the budget wouldnt let them. The Lizzie actress actually is preggers and again, it was glaringly obvious and it was distracting from Wheeler's much vaunted "reality."

Let's be fair -- she got pregnant when the actress was about 8 months along :P

I think we did see Doris's girlfriend briefly, she was the bartender at the lesbian hangout where Olivia saw Doris.

Shane,

Why did people want GL to go on? I can only speak for me. But I wanted to see what happened next to Bill and Lizzie. I wanted to see more of Billy and Vanessa and Buzz and Lillian. And OF COURSE, I wanted to see what happened to Josh/Reva when Jeffrey came back!

I *think* your responding to my post, though I am not Shane. Let me rephrase that....why do people want GL to go in the crippled condition it was, and more accurately, how do they think GL could have gone on as is?

I just can't get over the fact that no one, save the Coopers and Otalia, had a friggen house or a place to work. No one actually did any work, they just wandered around town, or went, to of all places, the local 7-11! What would happen if a new character moved into town, where would they live, where would they work, etc. GL coudln't go on in the condition it was, and it was only going to get worse.

GL was my show. And I WANTED it to continue. So Shane, take this as a voice of ALL the people who got off the message boards because of people who only wanted to complain. I don't defend everything on the show, but I also certainly don't defend all the haters who are happy with NOTHING! Yikes. I get soaps are on life support. So I am appreciating what they give me. But these people who are still complaining about someone who left the show 20 years ago? It might have been a mistake... but Charita Bauer died. No one called for Bert to be recast. So why are other roles suddenly unable to be recast? I loved Wendy Moniz as Dinah... but I also loved Gina Tognoni.

It's great the internet has connected so many soap fans. Unfortunately, the haters seem to have scared most of the rest of us off. My mother-in-law got personally brutalized - actually posters saying she should die - because she liked Josh/Cassie.

I'm sorry... ANYONE who wishes DEATH to anyone else because they disagree over a soap? THEY NEED SERIOUS THERAPY.

People are freaks, especially the soap couple freaks, (ask Laura Wright how she felt cause she got a voodoo doll!) Well we agree on that, but I don't know where the other stuff was coming from. Let me say, I wanted GL to continue too, as a real show, with real sets and actual, here's a thought, "storylines," not little story arcs that go in fits and starts and end up no where. Not interested in seeing people walk around a park and say, nothing.

With Alan being killed off the last week on GL - Edmund was the last villain standing on GL and Mr. Agent Man who couldn't hit the side of a barn was no match for Eddie-boy.
