BE's hiring way more in the vein of stunt casting than JM's was. Wayyyy more. I don't think that she took the job just because of RPG, but there ain't no convincing me that reuniting her and RPG wasn't one of the primary reasons why the show hired her.

Also, the way I interpret JRM's response to her interview is this: he's NOT a trained actor, but he's working at hard at doing the job; if his best is not enough for her, and if she feels she needs to put a muzzle on her mad Shakespearean skillz, then maybe she should take it upon herself to let some of those skillz rub off on him. It's like someone working as a cashier for 20 years being paired at the check-out counter with a high school student on his first job. Don't get annoyed by his newbie status if you aren't gonna try to help him out. It's less about it being her job than it is about just being a good co-worker.

BE is on drugs. How the hell is poor JRM stopping her from doing Shakespeare? He's not her only scene partner. She's had scenes with RPG, CS, the whole Hubbard clan and many others. I didn't see any Shakespeare when she was acting against any of them!

That's exactly what I'm saying. It's not her "job" to train, but if you're just going to bitch and moan about the piss poor job a co-worker is doing to your bosses who don't have a problem with it because he's getting the job done and enough people seem to be content, then you're asking to "suffer." Especially if you're brand new to the company yourself regardless of your experience, the way you want or think things should be done really doesn't matter at this point. Especially when one of the big reasons you were hired fell flat on its face. So, either "suffer" in silence or do something about it. Personally, I just say shut up and be thankful for a job at all during probably the worst time for anyone working in the Daytime industry as a whole! Susan Lucci even said it's more than just actors. There are crew members who are no longer on the stage as well. I just don't like all the "you're burying me!" and "making it really hard!" crap. Yes, dear. ABCD/AMC is conspiring to dismantle your career bit by bit. It's all about you. They cast you as Taylor McBride Thompson because they secretly wanted Jamie Luner as Liza all along! BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Whatever way you look at it, her comments are tacky. You don't call out a coworker in front of others, and you sure as hell don't give interviews dissing them. I mean, this is the woman who for the better part of her time on GL worked with Frank Dicipolous????? (Besides the point here, but if word on the street is correct, BE has a history of trying to not only screw, but screw over coworkers, when she tried to get Rob Bogue fired on GL.)And yes, she should "coach," her fellow actors..she had innate talent but she needs to remember that she was green when she first started and I am sure people were kind to her.

BE seems to have been burned by her decision to move...though her consolation should be that she would be looking for work anyway if she was still at GL. Know we know why JFP and she fought, and the Rauch was constantly trying to find a way to replace her....she can't keep her big mouth shut.

Carolyn: "But in the end you jumped to ABC. Why?

Beth: "I love my Ricky [Paull Goldin, ex Gus; now Jake on AMC]. I know it sounds strange but when Ricky told me he was leaving, I didn't really care where Harley was going anymore. I thought, 'What would she do if Gus died? She would leave town.' It was like I was walking the halls grieving the death of this person. So following Ricky was one reason."

Carolyn: "What else?"

Beth: "The interest that ABC expressed in having us work together again and capitalizing on that popularity. ABC has such focus on its shows -- and they own all their shows. And Brian [Frons, ABC Daytime honcho] is very passionate. When you speak to him, you can't help but feel his belief in his shows. I liked that about the network. They are committed. They're putting money into their shows. They believe in them. That sold me."

Thank you for that. So, unless Hinsey is pulling fabricated quotes out of her anus, I think it's safe to say that RPG and their fizzled pairing as Take is a large part of what made he decide to bless us AMC fans with her overrated presence.

And the snarky side of me has to admit I snickered a little when I read this in Part 2 of the interview about when she went back to CBS to empty her room:

Carolyn: "They called you to come get your stuff and they wouldn't let you in?"

Beth: "Yes. I said to the guard, 'I'm going to start crying.' He said, 'Don't cry. I want to show you something.' And he turned his computer around and said, 'Look -- they have you listed as 'requires escort."

But then I groaned when I read:

Beth: "I ran into [an AMC actress] on her way to a location shoot and she was like, 'We're doing four episodes today. Can you believe that?' And I just laughed. 'That's all?!'"
