MTS, they're neat-o like strawberry jello! ^_^ Now if only that boring old Clementine Ford would scat and we could finally see some Chilly bonding. Just to shake things up, how about a Jack/Sharon/Billy/Chloe quad? If Victor can date someone half his age, why not Jackie?

It feels like they undid Katherine & Jill so they can redo Mac & Billy. Because Mac wasn't needed this year in Billy storyline. She could have came back after Chloe & Billy got establish as a couple.

Mac is needed in a storyline this year but not Billy storyline.

LoL, hells no to another quad.

I found the Billy/Mac make-out session kinda hot, but I think that was mostly Miller. That man is just yum. I know Mac is the earthly girl, but come on man Chloe is banging, and you know she'll cut a bitch for her man.

I understand this art storyline is supposed to bring in the young viewers for the summer. Maybe this has been discussed but I work with teenagers. None of them would get too worked up over watching anything involving art or any other humanities during the summer. That feels too much like being in school.

What's ironic about the whole "Art" plot is that MAB fails to see what makes "Art" an interesting subject for fiction. Unless you have the money to pull off a glamor caper like the Thomas Crown Affair, most great movies/fiction about Art are about egos, fights, the toll the art takes on the artist, or breaking barriers and shocking the establishment with new work. Think Pollock, Dreamgirls, Lust for Life, The Agony and the Ecstasy, even Soapdish, Noises Off, WKRP in Cincinatti, and of course classics like Singing in the Rain. Goodness knows all MAB has to do is look in her own backyard for plenty of story about temperamental artists, the art/money question, etc. It would have been far more interesting if Daniel & Amber went off in different directions. What if Daniel were a terrible artist, hackneyed and derivative, and everyone knew it but couldn't bear to puncture his dream? What is Amber was a fabulous designer, started her own business and became too much of a star for Daniel? You could still bring in all your characters -- Jana and Kevin taking sides. Jana might feel Daniel needs to be coddled. Kevin might think Amber is right to resent Daniel's jealousy. Victoria could invest in Amber's company and JT might start to feel that he has a lot in common with Daniel in feeling overshadowed by his wife/girlfriend. If TPTB would just recast Colleen with an actress who can actually show up to work, it would be pure soap to have JT turn to Colleen to plump his ego. And isn't that the fear that a lot of successful women have -- think Star is Born -- that their men can't handle their success? There is so much that can be done with these characters with real human stories that would make us care about them. If I think Victoria is a joke, why do I care if a box hits her on the head? It's just a laugh. Is that it for Y&R? Cheap laughs? Can MAB or Hogan or Scott or Tom C or any of the writers sit there with a straight face and say that they expect us to actually worry about Vicky? Dreadful.

Cara Mia, I like a lot of your ideas. You are spot on!

And another good point!

It's just bad writing and a delusional HW who thinks she can pull off storylines involving art when she's failed repeatedly at doing so.

I guess it's supposed to be good girl/bad girl. Phyllis and Chloe are supposed to be bad, Sharon and Mac good. Then when the good girls start cheating, or hitting the skids, there's supposed to be more of an element of sexiness, I guess.

I'd like to see Billy become impotent, at least for a while, no Viagra either, I'd like to see him have to actually deal with what he is as a person, and see the show set up a more consistent character for him.

I'd actually like to see Billy with an STD that he passed onto Sharon, like syphilis or HPV. And I'd also like to see Billy with a drug addiction. Maybe coke or meth (aka Tina), since he was/is such a party boy.

Too bad I have no faith in this writing regime carrying out such a sensitive storyline properly. Look at what Sharon's mental breakdown morphed into, and look at how Kevin's Stockholm Syndrome turned out...

An STD or addiction story could be interesting but I want it to be something that hits him where it really hurts the most. That's his manhood. Billy is the type of guy who would continue dipping his wick even if he had a venereal disease. Seeing him unable to do anything downstairs would finally make him confront what a failure he is.

Billy is the type of guy

Actually, he's not, that's the rewritten version  Not that I don't enjoy it or anything.
