I disagree, I thought the acting during the Latham era was horrible. She stippled the actors of their rehearsal time, which has since been brought back. Michelle Stafford, and a lot of the younger actors lacked any sort of direction with their acting during that time. Most of the actors were phoning in stuff everyday when she was there, and it didn't help that she didn't see much use for rehearsal.

Amen.

The acting under MAB is LIGHT YEARS better than LML.

Latham gave Rikaart really light and comedic stuff to play for the most part, nothing really big, same with Michael Grazedei.

And both were horribly pimped.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE.

CLB's over the top antics really started during this time too,

CLB got really bad toward the end of Jack Smith's tenure.

By the time LML took over he was consuming scenery with a side of etouffee.

Daniel Goddard has always sucked to me

Pretty much.

Nick was a lot more grounded, for the most part, back then

Not really.

Morrow was lazy long before LML but under her was horrible except for mourning Cassie.

You actually gave a damn about Cane at one point? LOL! Wow, I've always considered him a cancer to this show.

The Bladwins-Fishers really started to annoy me by the end of Jack Smith's tenure, and from that point on, I didn't care for them at all, and they've gotten worse to me with each writing regime.

AMEN!

^You really want that spawn to not be Nick's, soapydoc.

It is Billy's.

Billy just had a kid though, so I think TIIC will be very hesitant to give him another spawn, unless this kid dies of course.

It will be stolen by MJ. Making Billy grow up, as he realizes he wants it. Launching the Billy-Sharon adult romance.

Billy is such a busy boy right now. He's got Chloe, Mac, and Jack to deal with. I could see it being his baby and, after it's stolen or held hostage or whatever drama it is that is coming up, Billy asks Jack to take the lead as the father since he is busy. This would give some time to settle the Mac thing because, honestly, that relationship has gotta go.

Now, Sharon made a point to mention that the blood test she is about to take can't always determine what specific blood relative might be the father. So, it could be Jack or Billy's for a long time.

Still think one of the reasons they are making Nick such an ass is so he does not deserve a baby.

Jack taking care of the baby as his would set up a grateful dynamic for with his brother but at some point, Billy will want that *boy* as his own cause, it will be an Abbott boy heir--and his.

Just saw Friday's episode - OMG! What an awesome episode!! I'm loving Mary Jane, btw. The Ashley and Adam stuff was really good. I notice Adam tried to grab Ashley but he missed her. I guess we all saw this coming - She'll obviously loose the baby. I'm loving Adam too!

Exactly. Ashley and Adam have rooting value, DESPITE what they're doing/will do. THAT is good writing.

Hotness, if you read the posts, I think many people liked Friday. I personally raved about it.

Sharon Case has been very solid, IMO. She's got quite a challenge as an actor and I feel like she's been pulling it off.

Exactly what does Paul Rauch do on a day to day basis? Is he producing or is he directing? I will say this for the LML era -- the acting was generally better than it is right now. GR, CLB, DG, MG and many others were noticeably better back then. Though that might be a function of the writing. While MAB's long-term stories are far better than LML's, the character arcs were better defined in LML's era. I had a strong sense of who Kevin, for example, was at any given moment and I certainly don't have that right now.

The acting was horrendous under LML (save Melody). I strongly disagree with that.

MTS & EB have been consistent over many writing regimes.

I can't just say that all the actors under MAB are all better just because they have more rehearsal time. A lot of people are still phoning it in. And let's compare Eva Marcille to Marisa Ramirez for a second. Wouldn't you trade Tyra in for Carmen in a New York second?

Now LML was queen of ridiculous plots. Oh, boy, was she ever. Certain actors though did better under her than they are doing now. If you've never liked Daniel Goddard or Joshua Morrow than I guess you can't see it, but those of us who have enjoyed their acting at one time or another can see it.

I just got to see it as well. I thought the show was great! LMAO at Adam cross dressing as a woman(Sabrina). Didn't I say he would make a good Nikki recast...LMAO  I loved Nikki arriving at the end too.

CE is too dark-skinned to work as a recast Nikki. How about Michael Grazadei? Right coloring and he's already shown he can work a Restless Style cover.

I thought Michelle Stafford was fabulous on Friday! Great day for her.

Actually, it was a really good episode. SH is fantastic, I can't wait to see what MJ is going to do now

I have to say though, I need Y&R to cool it a little on the bed swapping between the quad, one of them has to be diseased by now...

I enjoyed the Ashley and Adam stuff, and I'm even more intrigued by Adam. He seemed genuinely surprised and shocked when she fell, but what exactly did he expect to happen? What was his plan exactly?

Funny how CE dressed in women's clothes and wore a wig but he allegedly refused to kiss a guy...hmmmm

Michael Grazadei in women's clothes would be hot!
