That would be perfect. Divorced. She RAPES HIS BANK ACCOUNT. Seriously, he's penniless after she's done with him. Maybe they've even had heated conflict over the divorce all summer.

But then they look at each other across the room, and their groins just cry out for one another.

And the dance begins anew. So, yup, I think the divorce is a TERRIFIC idea to jump start the second chapter of their story, and their slow way (cue "Can't Fight This Feeling") back to one another!

You'd make a great writer for a soap!

But Nick will be too preoccupied with Sharon during November sweeps, isn't she due to give birth that month? And we know, Sharon comes before Phyllis on his list of priorities. ;)

Meanwhile, a new character that was introduced in September is slowly charming Phyllis's heart. She told him she wasn't ready for a new relationship yet, but the two passionately connect after Phyllis signs her divorce papers. Thus, a new chapter really has begun. :)

For fuc.ks sake come up with some originality already instead of this constant negativity. You might as well just copy and paste your post from now on.

Good show today, been awhile since Sharon/Nikki shared a scene. Speaking of Sharon, is it time to write the character out?

Even three months in an institution (off screen) would work for me. Nick can go with her. She's such a weepy needy mess, that after watching her screw 3 guys for months, a little break would do the character a lot of good. She could comeback with her head on straight again ready to be a mother to her children and a wife to Nick (presumably).

Heh, I don't take it back but you're right (and also too damn nice LoL).

I wouldn't mind the poster if he/she/whatever offered some constructive criticism instead of the same old drivel. But oh well, I guess I could follow my own lead and the only posts I'll see from said poster is a black line(s).

Whatever, write them out too.

Out of the three, I do find Stafford to be the most captivating actor though. I've seen little growth from Sharon, and Case keeps playing her so wimpy, and the writers keep writing her like a tramp (in character.)

Awesome show today. Bravo to Tom Cassiello - i thought his Winters episode was blah, but today he did everything right.

- Poor Ashley.

- If I had any faith in the Emmys, MS's Emmy would be awaiting a playmate. She's just flawless. I almost got mad again today that they haven't utilized her for the past few years.

- SH though, she's just superb. I can't even imagine what MJ is going to do next. I'd also weigh in that SH should teach a master class in anti-heroines. Best casting of a new role I've seen since, well EH.

- CE cemented his idiocy today - whatever the reason he left this role, he's the biggest fool for leaving. It's the meatiest role for a young male on daytime.

- Nick truly seemed just like his father's son today for the first time to me. His will to do just what he wanted, regardless of the consequences was Victor Newman. JM isn't the best actor, but his character makes a lot of sense to me, is intersting and I'm glad he'll never be able to get on his high horse again or for a very long time.

    • Thank you very much for the information!!! All the episodes that person sells are the ones which appear or have appeared in youtube, and some have wrong dates.  Due to that, I guess some people, who have rare and inedite episodes, refuse to upload them in internet, because then, others make money. I hope ABC create a place in the net where we can see all the available episodes they must have, as Retro tv did with the Doctors!!!!
    • Dina was Jack, Ashley and Tracy's mom on Y&R.  Joanna was Lauren Fenmore's mother, played by Susan Seaworth-Hayes.
    • The funeral was not onscreen - only the Brooks returning home after the service. Not aware of any available clips.
    • Very very well said!!!

I would only add that Sam Ratcliff is frequently named in regards to certain AW comedic turns.  And, we know from Carolyn Culliton (tweet 2024) that Sam & Gary put their heads together & came up with that gorilla.
    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
