I'm kind of surprised one of these hasn't been started yet. I've heard a lot of pro-Lauren Koslow sediments on here, but looking through the threads in this section, I didn't see one of these.

It's a topic all Kate, Kate/Roman, Kate/John, Kate/Victor, and Kate/Nicholas fans can agree on. Lauren is an amazing actress, and is in my top four of all daytime. She is able to do so much with the crap that is is sometimes given, and when the writers write for her, she proves why she deserves to be one of daytimes finest.

I hope to see this thread hoppin' and easy to find. Let the Lauren love flow.

Nikki

She is truly amazing to watch onscreen. From the first time we saw Lauren, gutting fish on a trawler somewhere in the Atlantic, to her rivalries with Sami and Vivian; from vindictive Kate putting a hit out in the man who scorned her, to the beautiful, tender soul she became when her love for John came to fruition, Lauren has never ceased to amaze me with her utter beauty and flawless talent, and I sign into this thread as an out and proud (in more ways than one ;) ) Koz fan. :D

Awww, that was a beautiful post, Shawn! I couldn't agree more.

Lauren is simply amazing, in more ways than one. She is a talented and beautiful actress, but she is also incredibly supportive and loyal to her fans. She's sweet and down to earth - there is no pretention about her. I am so proud to be a Koz fan!

Oh, How I love the Koz!!! :D From the first time I turned Days on in 2001, she stuck out. I couldn't help but notice her! I mean, the lady is GORGEOUS and extremely talented. I love how she can convey Kate's emotions by just the look on her face, or the tone of her voice. It truly is amazing. She's so subtle..I love it!!

I love her rivalries..the way she rolls her eyes and laughs sarcastically. And everytime the lady screams..it gives me chills! I'll never forget when she came out at the Kaman wedding with blood all over her wedding dress, and screamed. WOW! Also, when she set the mansion on fire and discovered that Lucas was inside. That was amazing! She also does sad scenes so well. When she cries, I want to cry with her. :( She's the only actress who, imo, not only portrays the emotion, but she makes the viewers FEEL what Kate is feeling.

I can tell that Lauren is very passionate about her work..and she puts 110% into every show, every pairing, and every situation Kate is in. She has chemistry with everyone...and I love to see her in scenes wtih her "kids" especially.

My favorite thing about LK is how down-to-earth she is! She seems like one of THE nicest people, and I've heard nothing but good things about her (and she has great taste in music! ;) ). I hope to meet her one of these days. :)

Truly one of daytime's most underrated actresses, I've loved her from the first moment I saw her. I saw such potential with her in the role as Kate, and damn, was I right!

It wasn't until recently, however, when she was teased with Mohn, that Kate turned into one of Days lead characters -- one of the actresses you tune in for. And she's won over alot of fans in the last two years, as well as turn Kate into one of the most controversial, hated, loved and talked about characters in the show's recent history.

There's no mother-in-law from hell better than Kate Roberts, and there's no one better to play her than the Koz.

One of my all-time favorite actresses on Days. (Along with Ali Sweeney and Renee Jones) Even towards the end when I was hanging on by a string, I'd always light up when she came on because I knew that even if the writing was crap, she'd give it her all and make it bearable for us.

    • It's funny to think one of the only later mentions of Justin/Sarah was in The Guiding Plight. They had some decent chemistry in the 1976 episode put out on DVD.
    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
