I really hate that both of the MJ MCKinnons are now dead.

My mother & I both cried over Zane for 3 days!

There's a script where Aggie put the Coffee Shop of Cedars Hospital at AW. That cracks me up.

I adored Felicia with Zane!

Ed Fry wrote, “My friend and colleague, Sally Spencer, passed away yesterday. She had been ill with leukemia, treated, home and by all accounts doing well.”

“She and I were "almost TV man and wife", but we were instant and long term friends. I'm heartsick at this news. She is one of those vivid, generous, loving, wise, smiling souls that the world can never have enough of,” he added.

According to Fry, Spencer put all of her “deep empathy and intelligence” to become an educator and was working as a Professor of Special Education at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) prior to her death. She was the one who had helped pioneer SIMPACT, technology developed to provide a highly realistic virtual platform for studying various practical subjects like social work, teaching, nursing, counseling and more.

Her efforts to further the campus’ reputation locally, nationally and internationally made her one of the vital members of the university.

Fry concluded his statement as: “May the Angels sing to you in seven octaves of welcome, Sally, to that place of beauty and rest you so richly deserve. See you further along, my friend.”

Tributes started pouring in for the deceased star in the comments from the fans.

**The other MJ McKinnon was Kathleen Layman who died Oct. 26, 2014, MJ McKinnon, AW

The Another World bible is a must read.

There were some deviations as soon as the show aired. Granny Matthews was dropped as was Susan. The whole storyline of Susan and Liz falling for 'Dave Wilson' was dropped as the character of Susan was not working out. However years later it was reworked into Susan and Liz being involved with Fred Douglas.

Pat Matthews was called Cynthia. Tom Baxter was Tom Young.

Russ seemed on his way to being a delinquent, injuring a pedestrian.

Speaking of Connie, as someone was a little while ago, was this famous ad, which I think was for a red lipstick, always rendered in B&W or is there a color version? I was always grateful that Lemay latched onto Connie so quickly. Didn't he call her his first collaborator, whether she knew she was or not? We call the YouTube videos of her "The Lovely Ada" and practically *count* the number of times she uses a tea towel over her shoulder!

Miss Ford spoke the concluding line in the scene. She delivered it straight to the camera for my benefit in the control room, paused for a split second, and added with grim explicitness, "Whatever the [!@#$%^&*] that means." She grinned at me later as we passed in the corridor, but she had made the point for herself and the rest of the cast. The dialogue I wrote was far less literary after that visit to the studio. -- Harding Lemay, EIGHT YEARS IN ANOTHER WORLD, 1981.

Whoa! Remarkable censor!!

He goes on to describe the game he plays with her where he scores against himself (but not against her) when she "adjusts" her lines to cut verbiage out of what he has written for her. Connie was special to him from the very first day. When Vicky Wyndham came over to take on the part of Rachel, from Robin Strasser, VW & Connie did not immediately hit it off. But, very

soon, they did & were fast friends & righteous colleagues forever after. Connie was special to me, too! I estimate that I am one of many people who had crushes on Connie.

"Some people don't like killing any character on a soap, but I believe that the death can be as important as the life if it shakes up the town and spins great story for the characters left behind. This was one of those cases." - Jill Lorie Hurst, GL, Otalia, Gus's death

(I knew I'd find these quotes I was looking for! Although I still think "End Days GL" had a high body count: the infant Max, Gus (even though it propelled Otalia story & EW thought long & hard about it after learning that Ricky was leaving, Tammy which was heart-breaking in the extreme, and then Coop, OY VEY) <Pause.> How many *is* that? That's 4 -- and they all 4

stung like the dickens!

Just heard about this new movie, A Case of Blue.  And who would have a lead role, but Stephen Schnetzer (Cass)!  The showrunner for the film sent along a link to the trailer, as well as movie and FB links.  SS has a beard, and it looks like an interesting flick for him.

    • While we're talking about Henry's funeral... I just got to the reading of Henry's will spanning April 11-12, 1996. What did fans this about this? Not as impactful/emotional, of course, but I was quite surprised that he left the rest of his estate to Hart - wtf??  His messages and gifts to Nola, Bridget and Matt (sorry, @P.J.

) were very sweet. I liked what he did with Dinah, giving her his wife's brooch but nothing else beyond her trust that she already got, which he wants her to use for the betterment of herself and others. Watching J get so excited about what he might get out of it, and his subsequent whining when he realizes it all goes to his higher education, was highly annoying. I haven't minded J since he came back until this moment. Contrast that with Bill, sitting next to Vanessa, who was very mature about the whole thing.
    • While I have no direct intel when it comes to an ABC revival, I'd think it would be the next option should ABC (finally) decide to cancel GMA3 due to piss poor ratings. Of course, that decision won't come until the latest reboot is attempted, either with more profile hosts or another retooling of sorts.
    • The last few episodes have reminded me of watching old soaps.  I was hesitant to get behind the hype but damn!

Anasatia the town gossip? She related to Shanice? LOL
    • I had to rewind and listen over and over, but it was something about "the color of your money". Anyone else pick up on it? Oh I guess I could try my closed captions later. Derek's legs spread open with those bare thick thighs... goodness!

    • Ugh, that's just a shame to hear about Bridget/Lucy and David. Not even going to their wedding is awful. I'm not there yet in my watch, but I'll be disappointed with that. And if Nick/Susan are now already gone too, which I'm assuming they are because they're no longer in the end credits, then who even is at this wedding besides family? I hate to hear that about 1997. Btw, I'm happy to hear we're pretty close in our viewing timeline

That comment Amanda makes is weird, but maybe if she's just talking about herself, I'd understand. But otherwise, makes no sense considering the Buzz/Alan rivalry over Reva, Lucy/A-M being a couple and the interaction A-M has with the Coopers throughout and vice versa, Frank/A-M's past.  I can't speak to Harley because I haven't seen her yet, but surely in her years in SF, she had a past with some Spaulding family member haha. That's a shame about Alan not having a reaction to Abby. I was wondering for months now if Abby would ever get back into Reva and Alan's orbit now that everyone is back in SF and away from Goshen, and wouldn't you know it, just last week in March/April 1996, Abby visited both Reva and Alan separately (Alan just gave Abby a job at Spaulding Enterprises). It was so nice to see they both still really cared about Abby, but said to hear that wanes going forward.  Alan just sucks - the most selfish/hateful/arrogant character - so I guess I can't be surprised. He barely tolerates Alex these days, and I guess he's back in A-M's good graces post-Marian. Otherwise, no one else in town likes him now that Reva dumped him. Great observation on the Marcus stuff, and having just seen it, you're right!  The storyline really wasn't about him once he was put in jail, it was really about introducing Griffin (whom I do not like at all), Roger who framed Marcus and accelerating his storyline with Dinah, and putting the pieces together with Marian being the real killer. Marcus is rarely seen while in jail, as your character count proves. I didn't even think about the age different between Marcus and Dahlia, but you're right - yikes. I was actually already getting worried about Rick/Abby's age differences, because Abby's mother told a doctor she was 22 years old, but then Rick said 18 a week later and she hangs out with Michelle and the other high school-aged people, so which is it? But I'd assume Rick is what, in his mid/late-30s? So that pairing I was already starting to question with age difference.  I'll miss Bryan, as he's grown on me while he ages over the last year.  Ahh good to know - RME   Oh this is great, thanks for sharing!!!  Glad to see she's still with us and out there doing work she loves.
