LML didn't harm Colleen.

I have yet to understand the SON misconception that I'm somehow "obsessed" with Colleen and/or her portrayer. Ever since I joined SON I've been treated like Hitler (or worse - Lynn Marie Latham) because I happen to like certain actresses. It is mind-boggling.

By your logic, Heyou must be "obsessed" with Adrianne Leon (although that may have some truth to it), DeeeDee must be "obsessed" with Victoria Rowell and JackPeyton must be "obsessed" with Tracey E. Bregman. No offense to the aforementioned posters.

Latham ruined the character by bringing in Sursok which brings me to my next point: Sursok is so bad that SHE makes me want Leon back all the more so if that's what you think being obsessed is, so be it.

I don't see Heyou, DeeeDee, and JackPeyton constantly rolling their eyes or making some rude comment to posters who don't enjoy the actresses they enjoy....

ETA: dmarex knows I do not like Heather or Vail Bloom, but whenever I post something about Heather/Vail, I don't get slammed with the same damn rude reply over and over again from dmarex.

This Patty Jane woman has very little long-term value, I just can't see where she'd fit in over time. I don't think MAB is that type of writer who knows how to craft redemption arcs or longterm integration of new/returning characters.

Day by day, I'm exposed to more weaknesses in her "writing." Again, go back to the non-profit sector if you don't want to be here, Maria!

I don't disagree with you but how in God's name do you explain how some of these actors and there characters have remained on this show for so long without much of a storyline?

She does well with most of the veterans, but she's shown very little interest in the characters she's created herself. I guess she finds it easier to write for people with an already established history, as opposed to creating something from scratch.

That said, there's a some good things happening on the show right now, but the stuff that isn't good can't be ignored for too long.

MAB does her best with the characters that have history but lately there's been a little too much left to the viewers imagination such as Mac's feelings for Billy.

Why have Jana and Kevin never had a sex scene?

Rikaart has no romantic chemistry with females although he and Leon had it which is why it left some fans wanting a COKE romance (y&r_fan, I didn't want to disappoint you by not mentioning her name) but all of that ceased when the role was recast and Sursok and Rikaart had no such sparks.

That's because LML didn't know her history and didn't have clue who Keemo even was but if Eric Steinberg would have been cast as Keemo then it would have shown Jack's (or more like PB's) true age.

Heyou was right - she probably didn't know that Jack even had an asian son. The ramifications of Ji Min being Keemo were amazing. I know that Ji Min was Korean and such but I'd have been willing to take a lame excuse for his lineage to get Ji Min at that dinner table with the Abbotts. LML was too busy researching artifact/nazi crap to be bothered to look at her SHOW's history.

Sometimes some of you are just crude, and now we should burn MAB at the stakes because her writing is flawed and mistakes got made? wow! I mean alot of great, valuable insights still from many on this site but I'm starting to hate more and more coming to these threads. Not because of any favoritism or bias but the elitist posts and insults to other posters and actors alike gets taken a bit far many times over to where it it makes the visit more and more unappealing

Didn't Cindy Crawford use to sport a mole and was still considered drop dead sexy? Don't get the problem with the mole, I think Vail looks sexy as hell. Also, she may not be the best actress, but at least she puts forth an effort, unlike others like Amelia Heinle.

Cindy's mole wasn't huge and throbbing, like Vail's. And really, Vail is pretty, but not that pretty.

Television is a visual medium, be prepared for your physical and acting attributes to be critiqued if you're lucky enough to be a hired actor.
