My problem with JC's version of Gloria is that she is more of an Angelica Deveraux-type and less of an Opal/Nadine. I love the actress though, but she is too glamourous for the part.

Jeff doesn't belong to this show. I can't believe it's TS's second role.. In old-school Y&R such a character would be gone after a few months.

I can't believe that I am enjoying Sharon, whom I always considered the most boring character ever.

The Abbott kids have unique chemistry :)

Likey doesn't get any romantic storylines. In fact, they haven't had a storyline since Fen was kidnapped by Sheila in early 2007. What chemistry we see is because of the actors not the writing. I don't think the writers want romance unless it involves 80 yr olds, but I agree it is missing. I think they have been playing heat but little romance. And I agree, I want to see adult romance, not this sweet syrupy romance of Cane and Lily or whatever is going on with Noah and Eden.

I wouldn't even mind Michael and Lauren developing some problems due to his enabling off his family or warkaholic ways and have a close call with another man for Lauren when she starts to feel neglected. Then she realizes she doesn't want another man, just more from her husband. They can reinvigorate the romance of the two of them and give Tracey Bregman something to play. And since they have been so faithful for so long and are a couple people like, I think the audience would like to see them deciding not to cheat unlike most couples.

Or bring in a younger female lawyer to work with Michael who is going to make a play for him. I don't see Michael as the type to stray, but she can be manipulative and make things look bad. We need someone to bring out Lauren's claws and her bitchy side.

As for Paul and Nikki, if they are going to try a romance for them, then write it. They did the same thing with Neil's storyline. They played a pivotal scene and then the Winters were off for weeks. What kind of writing is that? They have the same damn conversations for certain character (Phick and Shick, Billy and Chloe, Kay and Jill) but let the audience fill in the blanks for other characters making it hard to get invested or interested in those characters/couples.

Folks, you're never gonna get rid of LML. Even if all her characters are gone, she existed :). She made 2 years of Y&R history that -- absent Bobby Ewing's dream -- will always be a part of the canon. So, "....grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change..." and let's move on :).

Stafford's hair looks very healthy but cannot rival Vail's wicked mane.

Was that a hint of foreshadowing there?

Damn, I missed all the fun! You know I've got to go there! Perhaps they are hoping that she will decide to leave on her own? It truly is obvious how and why she stays put!

BARF!!

Yes, shockingly entertaining at every level.

I was very troubled by Adam's grin/smirk after whining to Heather to get him "free". I hate that he's a bastard. He's got a legitimate case (Victor is a d*ck, and plays favorites...Adam never had a chance...never got credit for what he could have brought to the family)...but he really shouldn't be doing this rotten stuff.

I haven't said enough about Estella - she's a wonderful add to the show and very believable. Anne Betancourt, who plays her, holds her own against anyone and everyone on the show. I hope they develop her even more. With Rafe being Estella's nephew, if she does get fired it'd be cool to see a wrongful-termination lawsuit. With all the maddness going on at Victoria Principal's house, i'm sure they could mine some gold out out of this classic upstairs/downstairs set-up.

And Ashley would never have been so rude to Mamie!

I'd really really love it if Adam did all this rotten stuff LOL. I thought he was a punk. But he's becoming so much more than that. This is all a character exercise if Adam is behind this. If it's Victor or anyone else, all that Adam has experienced the last year will have been for nothing. He's not a wimp like Nicholas. He's gonna totally go after everyone. No one else thinks this of Adam?

Yes. She has MUCH more range than Miguel had. I'm over his departure now.

Ashley IS "snooty" to a lot of people, though. She's a social-class person...she looked down on Gloria and Tom for some of the same reasons she looks down on Estella. snob....

You free Lauren from Michael, and I bet Tracey gets let go. Her episode appearances are way down and she is constantly being written out for weeks at a time. You don't see her as a CEO or Fenmore's anymore. She isn't even shown in her boutique. You don't see her as a mother to Fen. Maria Bell doesn't seem that interested in writing for Tracey or Lauren.

They need to free Michael and Lauren from the neverending story of covering and bailing out their family and Phyllis. That has been their only story for years now and has been played out everyway imaginable.

I would like to see Lauren edgy again, so I think she needs a rival. Christine used to bring that side out in her, but nobody does anymore except Sharon lately and Lauren was used more as a tool for the Sharon/Phyllis rivalry that setting up any real rivaly between Lauren and Sharon.
