Was that really Cassie's name that Sami mentioned today? I had to rewind 3 times to be sure. I really thought they rewrote the history of Cassie and Rex and that they never really happened?

I actually liked how nice Melanie was to Stephanie. I wonder if they will be friends soon seeing that

I'm really liking Melanie. I always have but I think they are starting to make her even more appealing.

As for Sami. Really??!! She can't be that surprised that EJ would have Phillip shot. That seem a bit crazy to me. She really never thinks, does she. I could also just be clouded by my dislike for her. ;)

This show really is great lately! :)

Yeah it was. They have been doing that a lot recently - nice touches to the dialogue like Faye sending Nicole pearls for her wedding and Chloee asking if she was still on the outs with her. Or Lexie explaining why Abe never came to the wedding.

Not a Melanie fan yet, but she is improving. The cynical days fan in me thinks the reason she has improved and been on a lot less lately is because the TPTB are sending her for acting lessons. She seems more natural now. Plus they are starting to flesh out her character, which is helping.

Agreed.

Agreed again. Best it has been since Brash & Cwikly in 2002 imho. How sad is that?

Wasn't Monday's episode great? It reminded me so much of Jim Reilly - all the stalling, interruptions, the candle flame going out, and then double cliffhanger with Philip getting shot and Sami interrupting the wedding (a back-to-back episode concluding almost the same way). It was very Reilly-ish. I loved it. LOL

I love every scene with these two. "This is just the beginning." :) I really hope they play the Stefano/Kate beat. They HAVE to play that. They gotta give a small Philip/Chloe scene too. If the writers do those two things, I will be very impressed.

Now that EJ/Nicole are married, I can already see what's ahead.....Nicole/Brady are gonna slowly get together since we've already been seeing a little of that. This is good stuff. See what happens when you actually get to plan things out? Just stay out of their way, Ken Corday, stay out! Do not rock the boat.

It certainly is a throwback to the way I remember DAYS under Reilly, and really...thats just *awesome*. It was somewhat obvious to me when Melanie was like "EJ...he's pure evil"...and all the references to signs and karma. I was like ok lol here we go. I notice that it does seem like they have a long-range plan for the show now, and the references to key history (Cassie, Faye...), so it really feels like they are trying to make a solid show. With that said, I have only noticed these changes in the last few days. Do you think Higley is really responsible for this?

    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
