—Congrats to one of our favourite actors, James Reynolds (Abe). The Emmy-nominated actor received the Martin Luther King Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award on Jan. 17 from Living the Dream, Inc. in Topeka, Kansas. Awards are given each year to honour the community’s youth, people who have contributed to the betterment of the city, and the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Reynolds picked up the award on his way to the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

Congrats to JR... I wonder who other soap stars went to the Inauguration.

Best news ever on B&B?

Rick/Steffy are over? Ronn Moss is going on vacation?

My money is on Brad stepping down as HW and becoming EP solely. Or, since the columnist has SUCH hatred for Kay Alden, that Kay Alden is leaving the writing team.

I think maybe it's the second one. If it is the first one, it would suggest to me that they are getting a GREAT headwriter...someone the columnist likes who is currently unemployed. But who would that be??

I throw a LOT of hate Branco's way but his interview with Reynolds, Being Black in Soaps, was one of the best pieces I've ever read on the issue. I just wish he'd continued to give the issue some attention but that would've pissed off the people he needed to grease.

Fortunately, we were wrong.

Martha Byrne has been given a trial run as a scriptwriter.

The actress? So is that actually good news or does Branco just like it?

I'm glad Laurence Lau is apparently going to be back as Brian on ATWT, although I'm not sure what they are planning with his character now that they've already rushed through his story with Luke.

GL - I hope Jenna's ghost isn't going to be on because Coop dies! Hasn't GL figured out by now they have been losing ratings every time they kill off a popular character these past few years? Just have him move back to England with a broken heart. Please!

AMC - I'm excited that Anna Stuart, my beloved Donna from all-time favorite soap Another World, will be back for awhile as Mary Smythe. Hmm, I will have to find some way to watch.
