Members Y&RWorldTurner
One of the best Script Writers EVER, and Nancy Curlee loved her scripts, so that's more than enough for me. Why do you ask?

Members Sylph
Everyone is a fan. Everyone. But, brimike, you forgot a but, didn't you? And her daughter is a fine SW herself.

Members brimike
Me? What was my "but"? I love Courtney's work. I always have. And I agree - Kate is fantastic!

Members Y&RWorldTurner
ATWT has a decent writing team, but the HW's on the other hand - absolutely horrible. The dialogue isn't the problem with ATWT per se, it's the stories, IMO.
Members brimike
I like her as an editor. I think she's done a great job, especially with this absurd rule to have 40+ scenes per episode. Trying to get information AND emotion out in scenes no longer than two pages has to be a real pain in the ass. Did I say once I didn't like her as an editor? I know I posted something once about being disappointed in Carolyn Culliton as an editor over at OLTL. Is that what you're referring to?
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Everyone who reads this thread, get your asses in the Entertainment News and Editorials forum to read the interview Toups conducted with Nancy Curlee. Dan and I contributed some questions - talk about a dream come true.
Members RavenWhitney
great interview with NC. did you guys ask if she was ever asked to return to GL or another soap?
Members YRBB
Thank you, because I had totally missed it. I read it and felt like crying, even though I have never seen her stuff. Not because the woman was--obviously--brilliant. But because I so wish daytime had writers like her today. How very needed.
Administrator Toups Posted April 13, 2009 Author Administrator Share Posted April 13, 2009 Y&R: - Janice Ferri Esser back listed as Occasional Script Editor April 13 I know Marla Kanelos and Amanda Beall weren't liked by some AMC fans, but I have comment on their recent breakdowns. Marla's April 13 episode had some fantastic scenes with Phyllis (the "I hate you" scene and the Nick/Sharon sex/Phyllys going nuts montage). Amanda's April 14 had two very good Nick/Phyllis scenes when Nick - I thought Mike Cohen did a good job in those scenes too.
Members brimike
Beall's last five or six episodes have all been stand-outs, in my mind. That one right after Billy and Chloe's wedding was SPECTACULAR. (The quiet one, with Kay/Murphy in bed, and Jack/Nick at the bar, and Sharon/Phyllis talking) (R Sinclair is sharpening his claws as he reads this. LOL!)
