Ok. In my view of the ^^^^^ post, the offensive word appears as a lot of oddball characters. Did Vee do that, or did the board edit it? Maybe there's an option in your setting Quent you can use to block those words you find offensive.

I don't think you're a prude Quent. I just think you're spitting in the wind. LOL. A few months ago, Michael Easton gave an interview with some comic book site/mag whatever. There was profanity scattered throughout the interview, and I was so disappointed in him. I don't know why I was surprised, or had that reaction, but I've never felt the same way about him since.

Eeek!. Quent, you really know how to kill a thread! :)

You remind me of this mormon girl at our after prom party who was going to tell all of our parents that we were drinking!

Its been real though- and Marlena started one of the best threads here EVER!

It had more going on than Viki has personalities.

Bree is good, and she and MA have had their moments. I still think the scenes between them in Jessica's room after Nash was killed (when Jessica slapped Natalie) are some of the best OLTL has had to offer this year. And even in the early years I loved their conflict. Really, I like Jessica/Tess is in scenes with Natalie and a few others, but it's rare that I like the character(s).

This is the dynamic between Natalie and Jessica that I felt never was laid to rest and I want to see resurrected and dealt with.

Bree's too sweet.

Erin's Jess had an edge to her that sparked well with MA's Natalie.

Bree's Jess acts like she wants to have a tea party with Nat. lol

Why do I feel this kinda came out of the blue? Some resentment there, perhaps? Even if things were like that, I personally would never apologize for finally, finally, getting a soap that's actually good!

Absofuckinglutely right.

LOLLLLLL Could you tell I was TRYING to behave? Hell, her name is YRBB, that's a sign to keep your mouth shut right there.

Oh yes, resentment, Oh yes. Y&R is the bestest soap opera in all the land, in all the lands that ever was..its perfectly perfect to the most perfect degrees of all degrees. Simply the best, divine, Better than The Sopranos. Just art, pure art.

Are you HAPPY RHINO!!?? LOLLLLLLLLL

I still don't know where you get the impression that no negativity is allowed in the Y&R thread. That thread was filled with fights and disgust for at least 65% of 2008, and even today, it still isn't all that calm. Things got a little more positive from November onwards, but it wasn't like no one was forbidden to say anything negative.

The show does look great though!
    • Well, she just said "ladies" on the show but she didn't specify they were fellow actresses. It could have been some of the women behind the scenes of the show. There was a lot in the interview that wasn't clear to me.
    • Now would’ve been a great time to get the next A plot going, versus Bill and Katie and Steffy and Liam rehashing the same BS about Luna we have been hearing for weeks.
    • I feel it could benefit from a focus on one of their three A stories or a solid B plot. But right before the turnover from Guza to Thomson, outside of all things Dani...there's nothing too A story-ish going on. Still entertaining for me, but it's noticeable that there is not a main story with other B/C stories going on. It's just...a bunch of stories going on.    I do hope the build to Winterfest and us actually seeing it THIS month will get things moving again.    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
