Ummmm....WHY is Cameron Mathison wearing a black thong??? Did anyone else see that? I had to rewind it like 10 times just to make sure my eyes were working. I can't believe 1) he is wearing that and 2) the producers/editors/whomever let that stay in the final cut of the episode!

Bobbie Eakes is so good.

Greenlee is so freaked out by the lesbian stuff it's funny!

AMAZING Bianca/Kendall scenes.

Thank God Kendall is out of the supply closet into a poper room.

That girl who plays Miranda is awesome.

If Greenlee and Ryan's NONSENSE isn't enough to make kendall get up and run out of the room NOTHING will!

So Zach is the one having feelings for Reese not the other way around.

That lesbian Elf dance got zach so turned on he had to run away.

Bet Binks is going to start getting jealous oever Reese playing Zach's sub Wife!

Just have to give MAJOR props to the brave hero who plays Brot , he's better than 50& of the actors in daytime!

She's always had huge boobs. I, personally, think now that Bianca's a mother of two and in a sexually active relationship, and not the young innocent ingenue anymore, they're actually dressing her less modestly. But she's always had a figure. There was a joke about Eden's boobs on Imaginary Bitches as well.

That irritates me. Here we go again, with everyone in town hating on David. Angie has no history with this man whatsoever and David's only been back in town (not counting the time he was hiding in the tunnels) for about six weeks. Moments like these on this show bother me all to hell. It's as if nobody has a mind of their own. "Everybody hates David? I've been gone for 18 years, have no personal knowledge of this man I met five minutes ago, but... what the hell? I hate him too! Especially because Tad says so!"

I hate where they are hinting at going with either Reese or Zach. Its terrible, because you have to do justice to the gay couple getting married and having children, its a real family and the first really shown gay couple w/ kids on daytime. I would be sad if this is where it keeps going.

Greenlee finally admiting to her part in hurting Annie made me feel good. Aidan hanging around only makes me more interested in what they are going to do with this storyline.

I like the actor and the character Brot. I just don't care for Taylor and having her front-burner like today bores me. I care about Brot and the story AMC is telling when is comes to others fighting for our freedom coming home dead inside. I hope we focus more on him and that and less on Taylor.

I never noticed before but I guess its her clothing like you mentioned

It makes complete sense. Look at who Angie is close to. Tad is her oldest friend and Krystal is her new best friend. She's a long time colleague of Joe and Jake is a family friend. These are people she's close to that have all been hurt by David and she's heard all the stories. Krystal is in a bad place and David is using that to his advantage for revenge. I can see why Angie wouldnt want her friend's marriage destroyed by some man who's going in there and trying to make things worse bc thats the way he operates. And its not like David is some good honest man that Angie is just randomly attacking. He's made no secret about his hate. He vowed to make Tad and Krystal pay, loud and in public. He simply cant be trusted and she hasnt butted in yet until today when she saw him in action actually doing something to hurt Tad

What? Was David about to cram him in a box and bury him ali-- oops. I'm getting my good, honest, upstanding citizens mixed up. David's the one who slept with another man's wife and got her preg-- oh, now, wait. Again, I'm getting these people confused. David's the one who brought a psychopath ex-lawyer with an obssession for him back to town which resulted in the kidnapping of his stepso-- damn. What is with me, today? Tad's the one who got a backbone and refused to perpetrate the lie that JR's son was dead. No? Oh, then it must've been Tad who was strong and moral and owned up to torturing and killing a man and refused to frame two innocent people for his crime. Am I still wrong?

The point I'm trying to make is this... Angie wasn't around and clearly she doesn't have the WHOLE story about what went on. Krystal is not some innocent, naive, nubile young woman. She's a grown woman who has lied, schemed, manipulated and perpetrated fraud to get her way. I can't sit up here and watch everyone act like she's this poor, defenseless woman who's being taken advantage of by mean David Hayward. I get the fact that she's grieving the for loss of her daughter -- but I haven't forgotten how she allowed Bianca to grieve for her daughter, and then allowed Adam to grieve for Charlotte -- a daughter she knew was never his.

Angie's best friends with two of the biggest hypocrites in town, and it pisses me the hell off. I don't give a frog's fat ass if it's "in character" all because Angie is friends with them. I think it would be "in character" if Angie actually learned what Krystal has done and reject her friendship. Having been led to believe her husband was dead for 20 years when he wasn't, only to be friends with a woman who allowed another mother to believe her newborn baby had died, when she actually hadn't? She resents Rebecca much more and it wasn't even Rebecca who took Jesse. As a matter of fact, Rebecca let him go.

Just food for thought.

Solid argument.

After your first post, I was totally thinking exactly what Cheap wrote - but this does bring an interesting light/point to the argument.

And I'm STILL waiting for people to comment on Cameron's black thong! Can someone get a screencap of this and post it so we can pick this apart? It seriously confused the hell outta me when I watched it over and over....surely my eyes deceive me!

    • Very true...but TPTB all were desperate to get into prime time or films and couldn't, so they looked down on their own industry and tried to infuse themes that just didn't work in soaps. I would have thought after 9/11 the shows would have gone out of their way to provide that warmth and comfort that the audience wanted, and to bring old viewers back. Budget cuts? Just bring back kitchen sets, both ATWT and GL got rid of those besides one each..(the Snyders and the Bauers) You don't need super fancy sets if you have the writing.

    • From what I can put together, the 1980s had several actors with interrupted runs. Michael Zaslow: 1971-1980, 1989-1997 Maureen Garrett: 1976-1980, 1988-?, ?-end Christopher Bernau: 1977-1984, 1986-1988 Peter Simon: 1981-1984, 1986-1996, ?-end Maeve Kinkead: 1981-1987, 1989-1996, 1997-end Robert Newman: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end Jordan Clarke: 1983-1987, 1989-1993, 1996, 1997-end By 1989, I believe the longest-tenured cast member without a departure was Jerry verDorn.
    • I know they were popular, but once they tamed Van's shrew, I thought Billy just brought Van down. Since they had just Nola and Billy sitting around in 97, an interesting thing would be if they had developed a friendship that turned into something else while Van was "dead". Maybe Billy lives at the Boardinghouse (to work on repaing his relationship with Bill) and works at Company instead of the stupid diner. Nola and Bridget give him a job there and Nola and Billy (who had originally been a bit antagonistic) slowly build up a relationship and then Van returns. A returned new lease on life Van would return to her "high hat ways" and take on the Spaulding's for control of the company with Billy helping her behind the scenes.  I know that Jordan was on sporadically because of his issues and them not know if they could trust him not to fall of the wagon, but they could have done it slow..and give Van and Nola a new reason to get in each others hair (I love a good Van/Nola tussle.)

Perhaps it wasn't the most well-played match in history, but that's something no one will remember in a few years time.
    • The thing with Martin (for me) is that he should have been Anita and Vernon's kid. I honestly think he would have been fine being an older or younger brother to Dani and Nicole. It also would have made his relationship and kids feel more realistic. A handsome salt and pepper late 40s/early 50s congressman who settled down and adopted kids to fit an image for politics. Not that he didn't want this lifestyle but it is what he needed to do to get ahead. Also, we don't often get older characters playing LGBT roles not just on daytime but across most media. It would have been a refreshing take. As an alternative, Sam and Ty could have been Martin's kids from an earlier marriage a la the NJ governor that was outed. We could have also seen parallels between Vernon and Anita thinking back to how they handled Martin coming out compared to the way they accepted Chelsea.  As for Martin being Nicole and Ted's kid, I do wish in this case he was not tied to a marriage and kids, so that he could date and sleep around like any other character on a soap.  Yeah, I didn't get it...but what I did get is that girl is a bit crazy like her mama.  Vanessa and Joey talking about the poker table...get these people off my screen.

    • Unpopular opinion, but I didn't think the show should have reunited Billy/Vanessa at all until the final stretch of the show. When watching the 1989 episodes when both Vanessa and Billy return after being off the show... I liked that Vanessa had moved on from him and that the show was hinting at her wanting to reunite with her first love Ross while looking down at Nadine for being the one Ross was dating.  And I loved the twist where Billy and Nadine teamed up to keep Vanessa/Ross apart.   This was an interesting concept that sadly the writers dropped with the show deciding to make Vanessa pine over Billy between 1990 and 1993 when they finally reunited.   To me, Vanessa pining over Billy seemed out of character. At least once Billy was carted off to prison in 1994... she and Billy divorced and stayed divorced until the final months when they finally found their way back together.  During the years when they were divorced, I liked that they had maintained a friendship and connection.. with viewers (like my late mom) wondering if they would ever decide to make it work again. I wish the show had tried that with Josh/Reva because by the time of the final episode when they rode off into the sunset, I didn't care because we'd been through the make up and break ups between them for over 10+ years by that point.
    • I break down the primetime soap era (start of Dallas to end of Knots Landing) as  Up to Spring 1982: Building the foundation. Fall 1982-Spring 1985: Peak. Fall 1985-Spring 1988: Tanking. Fall 1988 onward: Off the rails plus budget mode. Of course individual shows vary and I've broken down each show in their threads.
