This is said to be the closest race in the history of free elections in South Korea (since 1987). One voter described the election as choosing the least hated candidate. And the election result is seen as more of a referendum on outgoing President Moon Hard-on, whose administration is seen as failing to live up to campaign promises.

Despite the Reuters headline, it is in no way like "you know who", so I hope Americans seeing it do not make the mistake of drawing false equivalence as there are many differences.
