I think this article is actually accurate. I have zero sympathy for him, but I have suspected for some time now that the mix of paranoia and laziness Trump has always had is only heightened by the assassination attempt, and that terror contributes heavily to why he is doing only one event at a week while Vance is out there stalking Harris from airport to airport and doing these little cowtown rallies in the back of a Big Lots or whatever. He now apparently wants a bulletproof glass partition in front of him if he is to go back out on the road.

I was put off, if not surprised, that the "K-File" guy who writes those stories made sure to initially only tweet framing that paints him as a liar and not to mention until a tweet or two later that he was in honest in 2018.

You can tell Biden-hating gossipmonger Alex Thompson was excited because after days of pretty minimal activity since Harris took over he sprung into action on this one.

Here is the core Vanity Fair article the Daily Beast piece above is farming from.

The Harris rapid response team is truly one for the ages.

It's "not a battleground state" for me.

The scene at the latest Trump presser:

Screenshot_2024-08-15_at_1.30.01_PM.png?

The music on the scene is currently playing (I am not making this up) The Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes."

Trump is now listlessly reading economic message points off a piece of paper in front of him, clearly unhappy as he is any time he is asked to stay on message. I'm sure he'll go rogue in here soon enough.

Meanwhile: Rolling Stone (non-paywalled) on how red state polls are looking 'worse than they should.'

Dear lord, he is such a boring and uninspiring speaker.... 😴

Does he himself even know what he talks about?

This is the best visual demonstration of a trainwreck I have ever seen.....

Amazing how someone can speak for so long, and say absolutely nothing coherent!

Seriously??!! What the hell kind of question is that? Asking if he's thought about why God saved his life??!! That reporter must be kidding!!  facepalm.jpg

maybe a lame attempt at humor —  or irony?

That press conference was, for lack of a better word, interesting.....  So much talk and so very, very little substance. Sometimes Most of the time I wondered if even Trump knew what he was talking about.

How the hell can anyone, anyone, think that this blithering, rambling idiot could be president?!

Because it's not about him. It's about what he represents.
