That's also where I first found DS. I watched starting around the time Barnabas was terrorizing Maggie, somewhere around the time they went to color. That was some great stuff, the buildup with Barnabas biting Carolyn and terrorizing Julia. I kind of wish they'd done more with that after 1795.

You know I've always found it amusing that Maggie had to be hypnotized into forgetting she was a victim of Barnabas, but once Carolyn was released from his thrall--after the Adam experiment--she just forgot the whole thing. lol It was never mentioned again. David seemed to forget all about Barnabas' "secret" as well. The Dave Woodard/terrorizing of Julia plots weren't mentioned again either after B & J became friends during the Adam storyline. And Barn went from wanting to kill David to tripping through time countless times to save him.

I agree that Victoria was more interesting before Barnabas. Most importantly, before she became stupid. That's one of the reasons I don't care for the 1795 story. She's so stupid in it.

What I always found funny was that even after Barnabas came into the picture, Victoria was still sort of smart and could figure out things (i.e knowing that Cassandra was really Angelique in disguise, knew that Jeff Clark was Peter Bradford, and that Nicolas Blair was evil). However, when it came to Barnabas, she had no idea that he might be a little weird LOL

I always viewed Victoria as the everywoman of the show. Once she left, it lost a certain something. Granted, they had Julia/Barnabas/Quentin but something feels missing in the later years to me.

Just watched episodes 274 & 275. Why were Nancy Barrett and Kathryn Leigh Scott narrating? Is this the end of Moltke's narration?

If anyone else is narrating that means they're done with Moltke every episode. She will still narrate but only sporadically.

Into the colour episodes now, which just accentuates how much Moltke and Bennett look like mother and daughter. How much longer does Burke last?

He leaves about 2-3 months into the color episodes I think. I really like his goodbye scene with David -- one of the few times David Henesy didn't annoy me.

I'm a huge Dark Shadows fan and would love to chat with other fans about the show as well. Has anyone ever been a fest? I was at the one hosted in 2009.
