I think the "Kathy the Demon Child" storyline makes alot of sense actually. It would be very hard to buy Kathy all of the sudden accepting Tad as her dad and just moving on with life. I can totally understand Tad sweeping it under the rug too. The whole thing has to do a number mentally on both the child and the adults in the situation.
