Let's go out to Peapack and see what Cyrus thinks of today's episode:

OUCH, Ellie, that's gotta hurt!

Well at least there was one great line on today's show and it was perfectly delivered. Alan woke up and at first, didn't recognize anyone but eventually he started to. When asked if he remembered his sister's name, he answered: Alex, Amanda, and Vickie and Alex says, "He must be coming back, he's even remembering the bastard siblings."

I thought they retro wrote the retro write as Amanda being Alan's sister back to being his daughter.

They just need to have Alex as the greek chorus, she can just step into each scene and give her Alex take on it.."Oh, there is Cassie and Cyrus, she has gone without a man for what, five minutes.. a new record!"

"Well for those on a bulimics out there here comes Daisy and Grady....they can sure make you loose your lunch!"

I would actually start watching the show again, we can call it "Pop Up Alex."

I use Roxio Videowave for my screencaps, TooHot.

Amanda was supposedly Alan's daughter but in January 1997, it was revealed that she was actually Brandon's daughter and that Alex had her birth certificate all along. Amanda was never changed back to being Alan's daughter. Amanda and Vicki are still supposedly Alan & Alex's half-sisters.

RVD, I disagree on this but it wasnt a big plot line. It was a throw off line Alan said about his "children," and he listed Amanda as one of them. Probably more of a goof on the writers part but they did say that (which means nothing on GL these days._

That could have been a great storyline Amanda'as Bradon's daughter, his female version turned loose to torture Alex and Alan) but they got all the facts wrong so it didnt make any sense. I was in the minority and I love Toby Poser's larger then life Amanda (hated Kathleen Cullen's sappy, washed out Amanda) and her bitch fights with Marj/Alex.

Grody :lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, ITA Cat. Is that some pathetic [!@#$%^&*] or what??? This show has soooo went off the deep end. There is no dignity left. At all.

I can't imagine what would have to be going through the actor's minds. I wish one of them would give a completely candid review of how they feel of this "production" model. It could be anonymous for all I care. These people are professionals, for crying out loud. It seems as though they would be hating working under conditions like this.

    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
