I think it would be interesting to try something like a sitcom format. You can set it in Llanfair or wherever the Cramer women live (sorry, I'm sot a regular viewer :) ) and focus on the people who live in the house, maybe bring on some of "domestic aid." You could just focus on their wacky hijinks. That way the show could be entertaining, but not disrupt the continuity of the One Life too much.

Much to their suprise, the situation at "Leighton Hall" (the Buchanan Family London compound) is not as rosy as Sarah and Clint were led to believe.

I like this... if the action is centered around Leighton Hall, will Roma Downey appear as Joanna?

I have been wracking my brain for a Y&R spinoff, and I can't really think of one.

What is knocking around in my brain, though, is that Daniel and Amber would go to Malibu for 16 weeks, and the story would center around that. There would be guest appearances by Jana and Kevin. There would also, SPECIFICALLY, be a guest appearance by B&B's Rick Forrester and Ashley Abbott (because I really want Rick and Ashley to find their way--together--in a triangle with Amber--to Genoa City).

Since they'd be in LA, I might also find a way to bring in Paul Williams' son Ricky (who lives there). I also would try to bring in Nina Webster (who lives there, working on screenplays) and her son Phillip IV. Again, I admit it, this would be a way of keeping those characters alive for eventual re-introduction to Y&R.

But I don't know what the umbrella would be...what plot would push this through. I'd definitely find lots of way to get Graz shirtless on the beach.

I really dig the idea of a 'SOAPNet: The Retirement Village'...it would feature Stuart Damon, Jackie Zeman, Leslie Charleson, Julia Barr, Michael Nader, Catherine Hickland, Hillary B Smith, Lynn Herring among many others (essentially everyone on 'recurring' or over 50) in a few dramatic plots about infidelity, lust, a humorous look at getting older and eventually making a break for it under the shadow of night. There would also be one catfight per show, culminating in the murder of Nurse Frons, the scourge of the retirement village.

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
