I wish more of the 2004 Dot/Den two-hander was on YouTube. It's one of the few highlights from 2004...

Carol seems to feature on Harry Hill's TV Burp every week now. Not exactly hilarious sketches but it's nice to see her getting attention. They have someone who impersonates her, they never show the face though. It would be hilariously random if Lindsey showed up in one.

Looking at her credits, she was on Manchild, which was a comedy type of show. I only watched one episode or so before losing interest. It was about middle-aged men and their problems.

I haven't watched this week's episodes yet so wanted to say thanks for your recaps. When is that Dot photo from? Early 90s?

Here's a new interview with Lindsey; unfortunately Eammonn Holmes is involved. Let's see if he manages to avoid telling us that Corrie's Jack Duckworth (who is, you know, dying of cancer) proves how depressing Eastenders is...

Yeah, Ithink it's either very late 80's or early 90's.

That was actually a pretty good interview, despite Eammonn being there. Lindsey's new haircut looks nice too, though I doubt the show would ever let her showcase it.

Derek Martin was on Loose Women last week. He seems so much like Charlie Slater, even as he's not in the role here:

Thanks for posting that interview, I really enjoyed it. He has a lively personality -- I kind of wish we'd seen a little more of it on the show. He handled that question well when he was asked if Eastenders was his "swan song."

Lindsey Coulson was heartbreaking today. Carol looked physically haunted and gutted. It was sad when she had that mental and psychical breakdown when she was riding in the car with Alan and Blossom and had Alan stop the car so she could get out.

Poor Carol was also reaching out for someone and for some comfort finally when she tried to kiss Alan in the kitchen and her blocked her ass and told her he was married. Though, it was a sweet moment when he kissed his hand and then rubbed her cheek.

I had to laugh at Billie's gang friends circling the Square as if they're so hardcore and threatening. Really? I don't know anyone who would feel threatened by those people...

Anyone notice Tiffany was missing while the entire family was at the wake at Dot and Jim's? I guess they couldn't use Maisie Smith today, which is only a good thing.

I really like Blossom comforting Carol. I like Blossom a lot in fact, too bad she's only here for one or two episodes.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Janine comforting Liam and Morgan. I was even more surprised to see Janine and Ricky share a moment about their mother and how they felt when she died. It's a little moment, they didn't have to do it, but it was nice and I was happy for it.

Janine (to Liam and Morgan): Well, would you go to my funeral?

Pat: Everyone will be at your funeral, they'll want to make sure you're still in the coffin.

Does anyone else think from the brief glimpse we saw of Alan's new wife that she looks like a slightly younger Carol?

Loved seeing Kat and Stacey having fun and clowning around. I think Kat helps bring back some of Stacey's playfulness that was more apparent in her earlier years. They were a nice contrast to the rest of the episode. Oh, and Tracey talked again!

I'm intrigued by the Vanessa and Harry stuff. They're only just now starting to peel away the layers in that relationship.

Can't wait to see the episode, to get a little glimpse of Blossom again. I heard she looks the same as she did all those years ago.

It's too bad that a lot of fans can't seem to see Carol's pain and instead just write her off as being nasty. I keep hoping Lindsey will win some awards but that type of dislike for the character might make that less likely.

Coulson def deserves some awards. Carol does come off as unlikable shrew but Coulson acting just makes you feel bad for her.

Blossom totally reminds me of someone. Loved her story of Billy getting water from the toilet. I loved how the entire family gathered at Dot's.

I'm really liking Alfie & Roxy's new friendship.

Lauren needs to be punched in the face. And that gang? Hilarious. The rest of Monday's episode was great. Weird gripe though, Janine Malloy just does not have the same de riguer as Janine Butcher! Of course, with what is coming up, I don't think that will be a problem much longer.

When the Butcher's came on the scene, was Ricky/Janine's mom already dead?

Janine's mother died of cancer when she was 4. Janine went to live with her mother's sister, Clare, before going to live with Frank.

Yes, Frank's first wife was dead when Frank, Diane, Ricky, and Janine were introduced.

Frank will always be the best thing about the Butcher family, I don't care how many times Mark Reid left and came back until his unfortunate death. He's truly one of the best characters EastEnders has created, as well as the ultimate love of Pat's life.

Diane last returned for Frank's funeral. She is a lesbian now. Her biggest story was being homeless. And dumping a child on Ricky and Bianca in 1997.
