Sam/Bianca/Ricky/Ronnie/Jack spoiler for Thursday, September 2:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/scoop/a264954/sophie-reveal-edale-clash-enders-baby-shock.html

Coming up in EastEnders, Sam has a shocking announcement to make after giving birth to a healthy baby boy.

As potential fathers Ricky and Jack pay a visit to the hospital, they're keen to see the child and radiant smiles spread across their faces when they catch their first glimpse.

Bianca and Ronnie are also present for the visit - and Bianca pleases Ricky by promising that she would never stop a good father from spending time with his child.

However, the foursome are soon left stunned when Sam declares that she is having her baby adopted…

I kind of hope Sam's baby is a Ricky's, mainly because he's helping Bianca raise two children that aren't even his, and it sounds like Bianca will be supportive if Sam's baby does turn out to be Ricky's.

I hope it's not Jack's, mainly because it would be really nasty for Ronnie to stay with someone who knocked up both her sister and cousin...

They had split up at that time I think. Ronnie was sleeping with Ryan and Owen.

I can't help wondering if they might just rewrite history and say Minty is the father.

New spoilers indicate that Sam doesn't think of Minty in a sexual way and is just using him for support for her and possibly her baby. So, I don't know if they're going in that direction.

If that baby is Ricky's, it will have some screwed up family with the Mitchell's, with Janine as an aunt, and with Bianca as a step-mum.

I want Sam's baby to be Minty's from a forgotten drunken night.

I can't believe that either Ricky or Jack will go along with the baby being given up for adoption so there will be a DNA test for sure.

The thing with Minty is that though he's always carried a torch for Sam, she's always been repulsed at the idea of being with him. He's nothing but a support system for her, one that she could easily use to get her way.

Though, regardless if its his or not, I can see Minty wanting to raise it with her to just be there. Though, if it's Ricky or Jack's, it would probably give them more of a way to bring Sam back occasionally for short stints, since simply being Phil's little sister isn't enough.

I think Sam has some potential with the right return -- she had that hard done by, bitter quality of the Eastenders female, in last night's episode. But it would take a lot of work, as her last return was so poor.

Ellie at Walford Web confirmed that Glenda will be off the show for a while, but she's coming back and isn't gone permanently. So, I'm still guessing she'll be back just before Ronnie's wedding to Jack.

Also, Kat and Alfie will most likely be returning in the final week of September or first week of October.

I bet BBC One will release a trailer soon to promote Kat and Alfie's return. I can't wait to see my tart with a heart. :)

I want to see the trailer too. The BBC hasn't done that many of the big trailers lately with EE, perhaps for budget reasons.

I wonder exactly who will die in the fire. Most of the people we thought would go

like Leon or Minty

seem to be mentioned elsewhere. Unless it's

Peggy, or Charlie

I wonder if it will turn out to be a relatively minor fire in body count.

Peggy's exit is apparently the same week as the fire.

I wonder if they have the guts to kill her off, it isn't like Barbara Windsor is leaving on bad terms with the show, like Wendy Richard did.

  • Member

I know that Barbara said she just wants to take a break. I'd be surprised if they actually killed her off but it almost seems like they are heading more and more towards a final goodbye. And it doesn't sound like a lot of others are dying either. I do think if they were doing this they might wait until they could get Ross Kemp, as people would raise a fuss if Grant doesn't attend her funeral because "Courtney broke a leg" or something.

I don't know if anyone dies in the fire, but I've heard a number of them will get trapped in the rubble.

Maybe no one dies and everyone's fight to survive being trapped is the real drama of it all? I don't know, they've been very coy about big spoilers lately.

I don't think they'll kill Peggy off though.

That would be very good drama. I think a lot of people have become accustomed to some kind of random deaths to get an emotional reaction. I know some were disappointed that Chelsea and/or Libby weren't killed by Lucas. I don't really mind the dearth of random killing on the soaps this past year, I think it takes away the power of someone truly meaningful dying.

Still I keep thinking Charlie at least will go.

If Charlie does die, it will be strange with Kat coming back a month after his death and possibly missing his funeral. I don't know if they would bring her back so close after his death and have her not be in the middle of the aftermath of his death.

True. If he doesn't die I wonder if he just leaves to be with someone else. It would be kind of random if he decided to leave right when Kat comes back.
