DAYS: West Coast & Central pre-emption on Monday

Tiger Woods just sank an INCREDIBLE birdie on the 18th hole to force a playoff tomorrow (woohoo!). It starts at 12pm EST on ESPN then switches over to NBC at 2pm EST.

DAYS just can't watch a break. :P

Things are going to be even more worrisome once the Olympics come. NBC has already said that DAYS will air during the Olympics, but in various times in various different markets. I don't understand that at all, the ratings are going to be horrific during those few weeks for the show. However, I doubt NBC cares.

It should be fun seeing those ratings for you though, Toups.

UPDATE: Another board just posted that "Days" is airing on a time-delayed basis. While NBC doesn't usually go this route, it seems they didn't want to be stuck airing the same episode again tomorrow for half the country. "Days" is airing from 1:50-2:50PM on some affiliates, and 2:00-3:00PM on some other affiliates in the Mountain/Pacific time zones.

Weird..because here Golf ended at 3:45 pm. A comericial or two and then Days pops up at 3:48 pm. I think wow i'll watch some Days untill the evening news. It gets to 4:00 pm here and then they cut it off. Well they only showed the last 8 minutes of the show. And then it went to the regular schedule with Oprah at 4 pm.

Boy is Days numbers going to be bad these next three or four weeks to come.

I know. Well, I just happened to leave it there after the golf and Days popped up. :o I expected it to last the hour..a weird start at that but no. Only the last part was shown. My NBC affiliate didnt even say it would be shown after golf. They are pretty good at telling the viewers when Days will be seen in case of pre-emptions. But today we got nothing.

    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is probably one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse.    That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
    • The TVC Studio 31 that they used for 38 years was only about 13,730 sq ft., according to the TVC website specs: https://televisioncityla.com/stages-offices/ Sunset Las Palmas Studios has 11 sound stages, which go up to 20,000 sq ft., though we're yet to learn which of those sound stages will house B&B. Depending on which one, the specs for it can be found here: https://www.sunsetstudios.com/los-angeles/las-palmas-studios/ Sound Stages 4, 5 and 9 are available for use starting September 1, 2025. It's unclear if either of those stages would be used by B&B since they begin production there starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025, which would be before the date shown on the website, but we shall see. Of those three sound stages, only Sound Stage 4 and 5 make sense since they are larger than the specs the show had at TVC, while 9 is quite smaller.  Sound Stage 4 would be the best option overall for B&B since it has 18,819 sq ft., the largest individual sound stage at the lot - Stage 3 and Stage 8 share space, which combined makes the space 19,900 sq ft. --- Forgot to add, unless there was an issue with storing the sets, the changes at TVC should have had no issue with production on the show, resulting in fewer set use as there has been no movement in terms of construction that would impact either show (B&B/Y&R). Of the 2-3 times I've been at the studio, the most recent for Don Diamont's 40 years at CBS, it was the most dead I had ever seen the space, but that could be due to vacations, holidays, or the preparation of the B&B move.
    • I didn't post about it in the BtG thread as I still don't watch the show (an hour runtime is just too much for me right now with a new soap I can't just mostly skip through) but I can't imagine the ego of someone who is hired as a breakdown writer and decides to [!@#$%^&*] their own name all over the show. Classless beyond belief. Any writer who cares more about masturbatory behavior than quality of work should not be hired.
    • Yeah, it would've made things more tightly woven.
    • I like Chelsea and Madison. Two very pretty black women as a potential couple. But I really wish this show would've showcased two very handsome black men as a couple instead.
    • I didn't even think of roasters from GH

Maybe this roast will take even more than two years
    • Irna wasn't involved with ATWT at the time of Neil's death, was she? I'm imagining a situation where right after his latest doctor's appointment, he's killed.
    • The Cruise of Deception was the first thing that came to mind when I mentioned that Brady might take after that side of the family
    • We all knew that TT is busy so if she's off screen for a bit except for phone calls and/or visits.. then it is what is. Ashley was nicely used as support... which the writers should have been doing since day 1 so that viewers could understand why exactly she's on the show LOL Chelsea/Madison.... seems too good to be true... we shall see. Shanice as a PT... if it means more airtime.. I'm good.
