Just a rumor, but I could see this happening....

Sofie wants Cole to attack Meg so she can have Paul all to herself. She bribes Cole with sex. Meanwhile, she also convinces Mike that her ex-boyfriend has retruned to town to make her life a living hell. When Sofie doesn't deliver on her promise to make love to him if he attacks Meg, he rapes her.
