OLTL: Starr's pregnancy speculation

Wasn't it determined that Marcie can't carry children, but does that mean she can't explore a surrogate to carry a baby for her and Michael? What was the official reason about Marcie not being able to have kids?

Starr and Cole were thrown together with Marcie yesterday, so I think they will toy with it, but won't take it that far.

I'm wondering, with Jessica and Starr pregnant at the same time, if they may end up doing a baby switch.

I've wondered about a baby switch as well. And then we saw Mike & Marcie get *intimate*

I think Starr will toy with the idea of giving them her baby, for a protracted amount of time, but in the end it won't happen because Marcie is really pregnant. They were never specific about why Marcie could not conceive.

I feel like Marcie getting a job at the hospital working with kids may play a part if they decide to do a baby switch.

Like perhaps Marcie and Jessica become closer friends because Jessica is so lost after Nash's death and Marcie relates because of Al, or the loss of Tommy to Todd, and then when Jessica goes in to deliver, the baby dies shortly thereafter, and not wanting to see Jessica go through another loss, and knowing Starr didn't feel ready to raise a child, Marcie switches the babies to give Starr's child a good, safe home, and convinces herself that Starr will be able to get over the loss of a child she wasn't ready to have.

Of course Marcie will have to kind of go around the crazy corner a little bit to justify it to herself, but given all that she's done and been through, I don't think it would be a stretch, since Marcie would still be protecting Starr's child from Todd if she passes it off as Jessica's child.

I think they are done with Desperate Marcie, but I do think that all these babies are going to lead somewhere. Baby switches are SO two years ago, though. I also don't think JESSICA would do something; Tess maybe, but not Jessica.

    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair.  I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse.    That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
    • The TVC Studio 31 that they used for 38 years was only about 13,730 sq ft., according to the TVC website specs: https://televisioncityla.com/stages-offices/ Sunset Las Palmas Studios has 11 sound stages, which go up to 20,000 sq ft., though we're yet to learn which of those sound stages will house B&B. Depending on which one, the specs for it can be found here: https://www.sunsetstudios.com/los-angeles/las-palmas-studios/ Sound Stages 4, 5 and 9 are available for use starting September 1, 2025. It's unclear if either of those stages would be used by B&B since they begin production there starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025, which would be before the date shown on the website, but we shall see. Of those three sound stages, only Sound Stage 4 and 5 make sense since they are larger than the specs the show had at TVC, while 9 is quite smaller.  Sound Stage 4 would be the best option overall for B&B since it has 18,819 sq ft., the largest individual sound stage at the lot - Stage 3 and Stage 8 share space, which combined makes the space 19,900 sq ft. --- Forgot to add, unless there was an issue with storing the sets, the changes at TVC should have had no issue with production on the show, resulting in fewer set use as there has been no movement in terms of construction that would impact either show (B&B/Y&R). Of the 2-3 times I've been at the studio, the most recent for Don Diamont's 40 years at CBS, it was the most dead I had ever seen the space, but that could be due to vacations, holidays, or the preparation of the B&B move.
    • I didn't post about it in the BtG thread as I still don't watch the show (an hour runtime is just too much for me right now with a new soap I can't just mostly skip through) but I can't imagine the ego of someone who is hired as a breakdown writer and decides to [!@#$%^&*] their own name all over the show. Classless beyond belief. Any writer who cares more about masturbatory behavior than quality of work should not be hired.
    • Yeah, it would've made things more tightly woven.
    • I like Chelsea and Madison. Two very pretty black women as a potential couple. But I really wish this show would've showcased two very handsome black men as a couple instead.
    • I didn't even think of roasters from GH

Maybe this roast will take even more than two years
    • Irna wasn't involved with ATWT at the time of Neil's death, was she? I'm imagining a situation where right after his latest doctor's appointment, he's killed.
    • The Cruise of Deception was the first thing that came to mind when I mentioned that Brady might take after that side of the family
