I am, that and AW. The episodes airing now are from September 1985, so the serial killer and flood episodes will be coming soon(Spoilers I guess lol). I remember watching these episodes and remembered the circus storyline very well, but I always thought uncle Oscar had a beard don't ask me why.

How far did you get into Search. Did you get past Warren's death?

I recommend picking it up again, Both Search and Texas are about to come into great periods thanks to good writers. If you are interested I know of a site where you could read some recaps.

With Search I got past that murder party Stu and Jo threw where Suzi shot Justine. Justine was in the hospital in the last episode I saw. I've been waiting all these months to see if she lived or died! I know from IMDB that she left the show, but I'm not sure if it was by death. For some reason I LOVED that character and she was a big part in my enjoyment of the show. I also loved Sherry Mathis as Liza, who also left. :(

Ok, well Justine did live and sadly was not written for after her shooting and left Henderson. They had hinted that she and Quinn McCleary would become an item but Search got new head writers and that never happened. Shelly was great the only Liza to me, but Louan Gideon is ok though.

I hated Louann Gideon as Liza. Way too perky. I enjoyed Search during the Warren/Wendy/Suzi storyline. That was one sizzling triangle. Stopped watching after that, and then picked it up again around the time of the flood. Back in the 80s, Search was considered one of those fading, untrendy, unstable shows to steer clear from, with horrible ratings, endless HW and EP changes, lack of focus, ratings stunts, large amount of cast turnovers, etc. Looking at the state of soaps today, those traits seem to be the norm.

I agree totally, and I wish that these things did not happen I mean I do love big stunts but some of the shows go way to far.

I also think there were far better shows in the 80s like Days, GH, Y&R, AMC, heck even AW but I think that the stuff that Search did back then is miles better then what the current soaps are showing us IMO of course. Hell I would take Oscar the psycho clown over Ridge and Brooke round 128 or mob mania any day!

I have two weeks of the flood on DVD. It was very exciting. JP, from an article I recall reading, this was the last effort to revamp the show. They got new clothes, sets and updated hairstyles and makeup post-flood.

Search was great near the end with the revamping. Very tightly focused show. I believe Pam Long and Addie Walsh were responsible for that. But it was up against Y&R and Loving in most markets, and really didn't stand a chance. The only aspect of the show I hated about that era was the brand new opening credits. They're SO 1980s, and I find them cringeworthy!

OMG! I justw atched a great hour of soap! it was episode # 8781 on aol video!

some chikc named Liza and this other gilr named Sunny got in an argument over this dude. I guess he and sonny were involved but he and liza started a thing. great acting. Now Sunny is out wondering around in the rain all heartbroken.

then there is this manager/producer/dude. He remidns me of cass from AW actually. Well i like him and he i think is involved with this one girl who i also like with brown hair. He is managing this girl with curly brown hair. Lots of bickering going on and i loved it. ohh.. her name is Sarah and i actually find her annoying now, and the guy is named Quinn.

then there were these three girls who were singing and having fun. i thought they were sisters but i guess not. i like all of them as well.

Search for Tomorrow Episode #8782

Okay, so this chick i love named T.R. is kinda snaky with i think her name is Liza. I'm not sure if Liza is her mom or step mom, but one or the other I'm sure. T.R. is calling her father to tell him what a hussy slut Liza is. T.R.'s dad is named Loyd or summon like that. (i am loving these char's tellin each other by there names! it helps a lot)

Sonny is inside this cafe/bar/type place talking with this old irish dude whom i  Sunny is trying not to cry. awww i love this girl, and i hope her name is sunny, lol.

okay now there are two other people and i have no idea who they are nor do i like them yet.

okay so now that asshat hoe broke sonnys heart is looking for her and he went to a house where i guess his mother is and maybe his sister. the older lady figured out that sunny found out that he is going to marry liza and shares with her daughter and now they are all talking. the mother doesnt seem as happy as the sister.

Quinn just went and got Sarah out of the way and shes being a whinny brat and hes reaking of awesomeness. OMG! his shirt is off and hes a hottie! i kind of like Sarah now, but i really want Quinn with the other girl.

TR didnt tell her dad Liza is a whore, but she should have. I guess Liza is with her dad but hookin up with the dude.

that couple having dinner i didnt like i now like because this odd woman came up trying to get wiuth the dude and the other woman told her 'i really dont like watching a woman lose all her diginity, so goodnight' OH SNAP! owned!

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
