Is anyone else bothered by the Starr/Cole storyline. I feel like they are way too young to have sex and I have had a real problem with the storyline from the get-go. Starr is just too young and I think it was irresponsible for them to tell this story. Yeah I know it's realistic but I feel like this show is advocating teen pregnancies especially by having Todd look like the evil bad man for wanting Cole away from his daughter. I have never liked "Stole" or "Carr" or whatever you want to call them but I seriously have a problem with this storyline. It rubs me the wrong way.

I really can't find myself bothered by a storyline about something that happens in real life. Teens get pregnant...it's a fact...it happens and it's REAL. This is the type of storytelling (or at least an attempt to) get back to the storytelling that ABC soaps used to do, just because a subject makes people uncomfortable it shouldn't be swept under the rug.

Sidenote: How is the show advocating teen pregnancy? I guess I'm missing the part when they told teens to go out...have sex...AND get pregnant. The soap is dealing with two teens facing the consequences of their actions.

Todd is being Todd as far as I am concerned and for the first time, I finally believe that TSJ is playing Todd in a way that I can stand.

i agree. and onestly, more teens watch shows like OTH & GossipGirl where nothing happens to any of them that have sex, really. i mean.. nathan & hayley got married mvoed in together and all that. thats much more advocating teen sex than getting prego, IMHO. not that i mind either because i dont feel like every teen ont v that has sex needs get a std or prego. they dont need to be punished for it, but at the same time some relaisim wouldnt hurt.

i love TSJ, todd not so much.

I agree there is a lot they could do. The thing that kills me is that Todd and GiGi actually have a huge amount of chemistry, imo. Much more than I see between Rex and GiGi, but anything that gets Adrianna out of the picture works for me.

    • Smitty vs Martin now. Lord...   Well given the various discussions about Anita...this part of her vs Tracy looks like it's touching on Anita as a person now!   Not Silk Press Sheila in a Nicole wig!!!!!!  Living up to her nickname sake with the light Lauren hatred.    And now Vanessa laying into NuTed while Nosy Nurse is around...lol.
    • I'm going to rationalize it with this bit of irony: in a world filled with facial transplants, computer brain chips, and prisms, drugs are the only crime an international spy hero cannot solve. (too ABC afterschool special?)
    • May would have been very good as Lloyd. I'm still not sure why they didn't do a better job casting that part, aside from Joe Lambie. Who thought hiring Robert Reed made any sense?
    • That would make sense. I should try to look for one of the interviews Toni had around then (I think there was one somewhere).
    • I spent the afternoon coming up with an alternative story idea for John's death. Suppose, Orpheus wasn't caught after Marlena, Steve, Paul and Andrew foiled the nuclear bomb plot, but took John as his prisoner and went on the lam. Eventually, it gets revealed that he was the one who had the sepsis drug stolen, not some random junkie. And he uses that, and John as bait to lure Marlena, Steve, Shawn, etc. to where he's holding John. While they're all searching for Orpheus, John and the drug, Shawn manages to find the drug and rushes off to save Bo, but immediately after that, Orpheus captures Steve and Marlena and ties them up in a room with John, who's also tied up and weak but has a bomb strapped to his chest. As the bomb ticks down, Orpheus explains that he's finally going to kill them all, once and for all. But just as he's about to leave the room, and the timer on the bomb reaches zero, John breaks free of his restraints and attacks Orpheus. They struggle, fall out a window and the bomb explodes, killing both John and Orpheus.  Idk if that's the best idea in the world, but it seems to work for me. Not only would it have John die as a hero, but it would also rid us of Orpheus, who I hope is completely forgotten about now. Even though Marlena, Steve, Roman, etc. are still on canvas, he has no purpose anymore now that John is dead. And it just doesn't feel right to me that John is gonna be dead, while Orpheus is still alive. In some ways, it almost feels like, after all these years, he beat John. Which is total crap. If Stefano couldn't beat John, there's no way this pain in the ass could do it

    • Also, good to see that Hope has kept up Bo's fade for the past year. It must be tough to maintain a high and tight fade, when your client is in a coma.
    • Ooooh. Sounds like the lame stories that came right before Diane came back from the dead.
    • Bad enough I barely remember LOL. I recall the month was tied between the surrogacy, Phyllis sleuthing on her laptop at the bar in the Grand Phoenix about Tara and Ashland, and Sally getting Summer her dream job to get her out of town.
    • 'Oh...that's Ms. B!tch.' OMG!!! Not Silk Press Sheila giving an old school threatening villainess scene. and the building background music was EVERYTHING in that moment.   Oooooo YES! Loving Anita vs Tracy. If this is how it's going down with Tracy, I can't wait for Sharon to show up.
