Administrator Toups Posted June 21, 2008 Administrator Share Posted June 21, 2008 In 1986 Brenda was having health problems but nobody cared. Feb 1986, Brenda was exhausted....problem with mentsral(sp?) cycle...... October 25, 1986...Ed Scott called Brenda to film on a Saturday but Brenda wasn't scheduled. She did come in....she was crampy...she waited 6 hours for the director to call on set. Tom Langan called her not to come in and that they had a replacement. Deborah was hired for one week. Brenda went to the dressing room and saw Deborah there. She confronted the producers. "I'm here, I can work. What are you doing." Brenda's laywers tried to stop the episodes with Adair from airing. June 5th, 1987, she went to the hostpial June 8th, 1987 - 10am appoint.....went to studio at 6am..scenes were suppose to be taped in time for Brenda's ppoint. Frank Pacelli taped someone else ahead of her. Frank decide to change the blocking at the last minute. Brenda hit hip on desk. Ed Scott and Bill Bell said if you don't go out there, you're fired. Brenda said she needs help and that she's sick. Bell said if she left, you're fired. Brenda begged for her job (she had 8 weeks left). Brenda: "This will ruin my career." Bell replied, "You don't have a career." 1987 Brenda sued CBS for 11 million for wrongful termination. Ohh.....the fight with Bergman and Braeden is next! Administrator Toups Posted June 21, 2008 Administrator Share Posted June 21, 2008 Spring 1987, Brenda was fired for breach of contract. Brenda tried to get other work, but producers said she was unreliable. An east coast producer called her and asked what happened, she told the producer she was ill. The producer said that he/she was going to check up on that.....and then Brenda never heard back from that prodcer. December 1991, Bergman and Braeden got into a fist fight over who was suppose to have the last word in the scene. LOL Both actors issued a public apology. And that's it. Damn, I wish I saw the first half.

Members sheilaforever
Dickson missed a ridiculous large amount of tapings. Even with possible post-recordings, they had to temp recast THRICE for several episodes each time within 6 months between 1986-1987... It was ridiculous: "The role of Jill Foster Abott is played today by Deborah Adair". One day they even had a "The role of Jill Foster Abbott is now being played by..." - next episode Brenda Dickson walked back in the same set with a large grim on her face. Same thing happened in 1987 but too unluckily for her, Jess Walton stuck with us when Brenda Dickson went absent a second within just one month or so... Members aMLCproduction
My bad, so she wasn't sick. I thought that's what the article implied from what Tuops was posting. As I read the replies I see why she was fired. Wow, she had balls didn't she?
Administrator Toups Posted June 21, 2008 Administrator Share Posted June 21, 2008 At least you have it on tape. Once you get the technology to transfer it to the internet, everyone will be able to watch it. LOL

Members DaytimeFan
I thank my lucky stars that Brenda Dickson was such a drama queen and an all around horrible co worker. If she hadn't been so awful to work with we'd never have gotten the joy of seeing Jess Walton WORK IT. So thanks Brenda!
