I agree with Ms. Bloom's response to the complainers wholeheartedly. The bemoaning and complaining is quite nonproductive and endless. IMHO, GL has improved 1000% since day one when their new production format made its debut and I truly enjoy the changeover.

GL has improved in viewership (much higher than AMC & OLTL), 12-17 ratings, and 18-49 demo ratings despite of the time slot differences across the country.

A little note for GL, I enjoy Wes Ramsey's Sam today (bring him back), still hoping GL would cast Martha Madison as Marah, and give Reva/Billy more screentime.

It's good that people are complaining so they know what to fix. I see changes each week, positive changes. Now if they just hire a good writer and give that cast a much needed revamp all will be okay. Sam sticking around would be a good start for the younger characters.

GL viewers have reason to complain, not only does the new model have countless problems but the show is trash. I don't even think that the model will evolve - EW is probably thrilled with it and doesn't want to change a thing.

GL is still awful and the production won't change it at all.

Lol love what she had to say. I think she's right.

I doubt she needed fans to tell her the camera work is too shakey. Actually I'm just impressed she admitted there are aspects that need to go or change. Rarely do network execs admit anything is even remotely wrong.

Well, by today's eppy, GL figured out how to shoot in the rain without drowning out the actors. But I still don't see how BB can defend some of the "new model". Most of the actresses look bad, and the camera men are suddenly obsessed with shooting "through" things (today...it was those cheap ass steps at Company), just because they can.

I refuse to "lighten up", when GL tested out this format for months before the 2/29 launch, and went bat-[!@#$%^&*] crazy and regressed because they loved playing with the "new toy".

Yeah, right. We're stuck with it and we all know it. They didn't bother spending every Wednesday's episode for the last year preparing and practicing with the new equipment/technique and putting out all that ridiculous hype just to go back to the way things were just because of a little viewer discontent. When has that ever meant anything to this regime anyway? Josh & Cassie ring a bell? How about Harley & Cyrus? Or Alan & Beth? Or Wheeler's decision to rip Ed Bauer, Ross Marler, Phillip Spaulding, and Holly Reade completely off the show while keeping Ava around all this time? These people don't care what we want. It's like Wheeler is on a quest to make the most horrific TV program imaginable and go down in history as the less-talented soap version of Ed Wood.

The fact that it's a "work in progress" is part of the whole problem. This isn't a 10th grade media class or a film school project, this is a major network TV series that's been on the air for 70 years. Where is the professionalism, pride in their craft, and desire to only put out the best work possible? Or do they have such little respect for the fact that they're in daytime that they don't think it matters if their product is horrible? They're airing material that is shot in such a way that at times you honestly can't tell if the director and camera operator are incompetent or pretentious jerks who think they're conceptual brilliant artists. It doesn't really matter, either way, it reeks.

And I think that everyone in charge of this debacle needs to stop saying "lighten up" as if their viewers' complaints have no validity, listen to their customers, realize that they are in big trouble and that today is the day that things must start changing or it'll be too late, and do their jobs properly or have the decency to re-sign. That's what I think.

    • I would wager that was because it was a new character for the likes of Devon, Lily and Nate to interact with. Watching the likes of Billy fall in love again-Phyllis, Chelsea,Lily and now Sally is repetitive, especially when he is no prize. Josh doesn't really do long term couples. So every year or so they swap partners. It diminishes them as characters as they don't seem to grow or learn from the past. We know those characters so well and they've been through just about everything, so the only solution is to involve them with new characters and have them react to the newbies drama. They tried with Ashland and the Rosales but Josh dumped the latter and wrote so badly for Ashland who could have been a long term antagonist. All we got was another short lived marriage for Victoria and another accidental killing. And Josh thinks having them sit in restaraunts for the whole episode talking business, mergers, takeovers and job switching is interestring. It's not. I feel sorry for the actors who must know they are serving shite.
    • If I were to cast a Soap Opera veteran as Jan.. I would have picked Krista Allen (of Days and B & B fame) since she did move to the Atlanta area in late 2023... and knows all there is about the Soap opera way of filming.  And I could see her playing Ashley's mom.
    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
