Just got through RE-watching OLTL, those of you who boycotted the Jared and Gigi kiss missed a good show :)

I love how Clint is becoming more and more like his father, the comment he made towards women was dead on ASA.

I loved Viki back in the diner, her comment towards Lindsay was hilarious.

And of Course gotta love Dorian bringing the mayor to see Viki waitressing. LOVE Dorian!

I loved Thursday's show, for me it was the best thus far this week.

It was great to see Viki doing something that made her happy, she looked so at home at the Angel Square Diner, and I loved everyone's expression when they saw her waiting on tables. Very fun.

WTH is Clint's problem? He sure is getting more and more like Asa with every passing day, I actually feel sorry for Nora. LOL.

And I just love the interaction between Jared and Charlie, but I was left wondering why it seems now that Charlie doesn't want to let the secret come out, I mean he should have been encouraging Jared to come clean after what Jared told him, but he didn't.

What a blessing to not have to watch Starr whine for a day!

LOL the comment he made about women becoming wet rats was funny!

Thursday was the best of the week but Friday was good.

Enjoyed all character interactions within the diner.

Finally got some great Viki/Charlie scenes.

As much as I like Rex I was happy when Jared punched him :P

Dorian & the Mayor really has me wondering if she is behind the BE take-over?

I have to say that Friday was my favorite out of this week.

It was fun to see half the town at the Angel Square Diner, and I loved watching Viki, she looked so happy. She had me LOL when she was so sarcatic with Dorian and when she threw the menu at Dorian I nearly fell out of my chair. Their scenes were great.

I got the impression that Dorian and the Mayor are behind what is going on at BE. Could be wrong but their conversation sure made it seem like they were behind it, and I would personally love it if they were.

Oh Rex so had that punch coming. And I like Rex but the comment he made to Jared was so uncalled for.

Is it bad of me that I am SO hoping Starr, Langston and Cole get caught?

Ryan, LOVE your banner/avatar. Their new album is just incredible.

Yeah, pretty good week on OLTL. I haven't been around but I have to say I absoutely love Farah as Gigi. She has so much rooting value and great chemistry with the cast, including Rex, and even Jared (hot kiss!)

I really don't like how they're turning Adriana into bridezilla, but giving the fact we've know for months Melissa is leaving..understandable.

Love Viki working on the diner..wish Moe/Noelle and the crew would come back! :D

Dorian's parting words to Clint and Nora = classic.

Starr & Cole...yawn.

Well your wish should be coming soon in May with Moe and Noelle returning. They were also in today's credits.

Dorian's comment "you two just blend in so well I hardly noticed you"

Oh and forgot to mention KDP looked great in that dress, I guess Todd and Blair were going to a party offsreen?

The best scenes for me were Jared and Charlie. I really felt bad for Jared there. I already love him but that gave me a new understanding for him. What he's doing is wrong with lying to the Buchanans but I get where he's motivated after having such a horrible childhood with his father, the drunk abandoning him, getting abused by his mother's bf and blaming himself for his little brother's death. He finally has the family he's always wanted and its sad

^^^I had the opposite reaction lol. Usually I love Jared, and dig his scenes with Charlie. But, they have become so repetitive and stagnant, that they're beginning to wear thin on me. Every time I tune in, it's always the same conversation with them. Plus, I thought John Brotherton (Jared) did not sell those scenes quite well. Too showy, and devoid of any real emotion. It felt like he was just reading aloud the script, thinking inside his head, "Damn I'm Good!" Lastly, I know Robin Strasser isn't too pleased with the way her character is being written, but IMO, she is the one that keeps me coming back. She truly has been the standout performer of OLTL thus far this year.

I actually like Adrianna turning into a insecure b---- because I see it as her turning into more of her mother. I also like how there is a faint parallel between Viki/Gigi(who is like a daughter to Viki) vs. Dorian/Adrianna.

I echo everyone's statements that I am LOVING Dorian these days. I have not loved Dorian this much since the day she came back to Llanview. Her and Viki's exchange was hilarious, as were Dorian's parting words to Clint and Nora. Robin Strasser has become one of the main reasons why I watch. Her delivery is excellent.

JB and Charlie's scenes were good, but I'm wondering if this reveal; about Jared's abuse as a child were part of RC's original plans. It seems to have come out of nowhere. Despite that I'm enjoying everything; but I wish JB could have been more convincing during Jared's confrontation with Charlie.

I love how almost everyone ended up at the diner. I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling seeing Viki happily serve patrons and waiting tables at the diner.

OLTL remains one of the best and most entertaining soaps currently on air.

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.

    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
