More Manning family drama!!

I am glad that Blair got Todd to back down. I don't understand why Jack is sad, all his friends and family are in Llanview.

Poor Antonio- NOT!!! Bye, bye Santi money!!!

I am so on team Nora. She is really getting a raw deal. Marcie and Lindsay deserved worse.

Cole and John should be lovers- j/k- but they have great chemisty.

Langston if you are so sad about Starr leaving, maybe you should spend some time with her instead of Markko.

Go Todd- keep starr and Cole apart- they are boring together

Dorian I love you, but please stop trying to get rid of Todd. Blair is never going to leave him- until he hurts her.

I'm enjoying the Manning angst. I can't stand Todd but it's good drama. It would be great if Jack grew to resent Starr since she gets all the attention. It was stupid that the DBL was brought up and dropped in one episode. History like that should not be used as a plot point. Soras Jack a bit and have him resentful of both Todd and Starr. If done right, the Mannings will be unstoppable!

I haven't watched yet today, but I'm getting to it. All I have to say is that I hate Todd, always have, ever since Roger Howarth played him. Dorian would make me reeeeal happy if she finally kicked him and Blair out on their asses. Starr needs intensive psychological help pronto because she's already inherited her parents' ME, ME, ME!!!! mentality. Okay yes, what happened with her and Cole and Todd was horrible...but really, before that, the whole moving to Hawaii business? Bullshit. She's a whiny loser.

And if I have to hear her scream about how much she "*LOVE* COLE! I LOVE HIM!" one more time...well [!@#$%^&*], I wouldn't mind someone sticking a shank in her.

Been busy all day and just got time to relax and watch Monday's eppy and thought it was a decent set up for the rest of the week. YAY we get Viki back tomorrow :)

 how do you really feel? :P

Seriously though, I am like Starr, STFU already but at the same time, I think teenagers can fall in love. Although I do remember telling my mother the same thing about a BF of mine back in the day. I look back now at how stupid I was LOL but yeah I think this is actually realistic.

Yeah, where has she been? I am starting to think RC has very specific plans for her and that is why she had many scenes under RC's pen but none so far under GT's. I guess we will know soon enough but it really would have been great to see her handle Todd during this whole ordeal.

Does anyone else think that Dorian may have some type of smallish crush on Charlie, or something similar to that? When Dorian was telling Viki how she took herself out of the equation after she found out Viki and Charlie were togther, it made me think about it more. Also I do remember Jared asking Dorian if she was falling for Charlie when she started blackmailing him.

@daysfan

I think Dorian does like Charlie. But she only really likes him because Viki liked him first!

I seriously got chills last week when Todd barged into the room and beat the crap out of Cole. I still get chills. As Michael Bruno would say, "good choices" LOL. I wish they did go all the way, though. What the heck is that about?

Kristen has annoyed me since she started. It's such a meaty role; something so gutsy and assertive, as Heather Tom played Victoria Newman back in the day, that it demands someone who can deliver lines without sounding like a little whiny twerp. But she originated the role and, for some reason, I can't imagine anyone else playing this role other than her. Some acting lessons wouldn't hurt.

I also think Brittany Underwood is 100xs better than all the teen actors put together; although, Brandon does have his moments. I agree, though, she has zero chemistry with Markko. When the writers were flirting with the option of Langston/Cole, I think those two had better chemistry than Cole/Starr. But it could just be because Brittany/Brandon are better actors than Kristen or Markko are.

And even though Addie was an unexpected addition and I had no idea what could possibly be interesting about a mentally ill grandmother, she added a nice levity to this show. I hope she returns soon, too.

Oh, I totally agree on Dorian only really liking Charlie because Viki liked him first.

And even though it was understandable for awhile and still is to a certain extent, Starr's screaming and whining is getting on my nerves. When she started getting onto Blair after Blair brought up a simple good point I just went "ugh". Todd went to a huge extreme here, but Starr isn't being the most reasonable person in the situation either.

Every time there's a scene where Starr whines to Blair about some decision Starr disagrees with, I feel like slapping for not putting her foot down and saying in her lovely southern accent, "Listen 'itch, you're gonna listen to your Momma, hear me?" It doesn't make sense. Blair and Todd are such headstrong people and yet they spoil Starr to no end. It'd be nice if someone put their foot down on that girl and said, no for REALS. And it doesn't even have to be as dramatic as moving to Hawaii.

Now wasn't that a table to stay away from at the Palace. The three vipers. A very ruthless combination - Dorian Lora, Mayor Lowell and Commissioner Lee Ramsey. Watch out Llanview.

I really enjoyed the scenes between Viki and Dorian, and I haven't in a long time. I've been enjoying Dorian more and more since they got her away from Clint. Cannot wait to see this Dorian/Charlie stuff tomorrow, I love that he's finally found out that Dorian and Viki are NOT long, lost friends.

I'm enjoying Todd. SO very much. Still feel nothing where Starr is concerned. Nothing.

Did anyone else notice that when Viki was at the Palace she had on a pink shirt, and burgandy jacket and her hair was cut shorter, but when she got back to Llanfair, she was in that green sweater with tan pants and her hair was back to being long? Man, someone messed up BIG time. LOL.

    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archivedcopy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
