March 6, 200817 yr Member I really hope everyone goes up. Even though many do not deserve it Daytime does not need bad ratings.
March 6, 200817 yr Member I hope AMC does good. I really liking Frankie & ever since I laid my eyes on him I had to watch AMC everyday just to see if they will show him.
March 6, 200817 yr Member I agree that it will be rather interesting to see the ratings for Guiding Light. I watched it last Friday and I was kind of unimpressed with it. I didn't and still don't like the show opening and strongly feel that it needs to go to Colbie Caillat for her next upcoming music album. I would, of course, like to see another ratings increase for DAYS. Tamara Braun has been a great addition to the DAYS cast. However, I want Dena Higley gone because I feel that DAYS will become a desolate mess once she starts kneeding the stories that she wants. Kind of like the desolate mess that you see on GL except without the horrific camera shaky/zoom-in work.
March 6, 200817 yr Member I don't get the whole handheld-camerawork, verite style. It looks more "realistic," but real people would never say the kind of things that come out of soap characters' mouths. It seems they have to change the entire style/aesthetic of scriptwriting, not just the visuals, in order for it to make organic sense. Still, here's hoping everything goes up, regardless of how well the shows are doing... Edited March 6, 200817 yr by buttoneer
March 6, 200817 yr Member I think GH will get a slight bump with the climax to the TMK storyline, which will probably translate into relative bumps for AMC and OLTL. I think Days' inflated numbers from the week before, which featured the plane crash, will go down a bit. The funeral last week was great, but I'm not sure that viewers necessarily tune in to that type of thing. As for ATWT, I'm shocked that it's able to stay as high as it does. It's been beyond boring of late. Y&R will probably stay the same or go up, mostly because I think viewers are really interested to see where the Jeff/Gloria thing is going.
March 6, 200817 yr Member I wonder if GL's numbers will rise on Friday, only to drop next week... ? I'm also interested to see GL's numbers for Friday. I wouldn't read too much into the numbers. Everybody gets low, everybody gets high. I love that damn song already. Edited March 6, 200817 yr by stenbeck212
