Members Khan
Believe it or not, DeeeDee, I tend to agree with you. In fact, I'm willing to tolerate many of the lesser characters on AMC (with some exceptions) if the writing for them was just better.
Members Casey
You know, I love that you pay soo much attention to me... But guess what, if I wanted to complain about more...I would...don't worry about what the show does for ME...just worry about what it does for you and that is, give you plenty of stuff to complain about regarding Ryan. Thanks
Members Adam
The reason half of PV is unlikable is for sure the writing and has been the case gradually for the past decade..... I can remember watching AMC in my early years and liking every character for some reason or another, that was the gift of the legendary Agnes Nixon. Alot of people seem to think that its Greenlee and Greenlee alone that is sucking the life out of this show, it is so, so much more. Greenlee is just one in a long line of totally unlikable characters and hatchet character assassinations. Been going on for YEARS! It just came to a breaking point under Ms. Megan mcTavish and now the cancellation duo. I still feel the show is heading in a better direction than it was 2 months ago, due in part largely to Debbi and Darnell and the renewed focus on the veteran characters, but make no mistake about it, LONG WAY TO GO!!!! Members Casey
I think McTavish started off well and then she crashed (as she does). The show appears to be making an effort to get back on track with the vets and such, so it is definitely making strides to climb out of the hole it was in 2 years ago. Members DeeeDee
Yep. It's amazing what a mediocre actor can do with good writing. Look at Cam Mathison.
Members DevotedToAMC
Dream on dude. I barely post to you here and it took me less than a minute to read what you wrote. If the day ever comes where I pay much attention to you, then kindly hit me over the head with a brick. I, at least, find other things to like about the show and not pick apart something over pictures. The Ryan rants I write here are for entertainment value and to get people laughing. So while I do complain about him, the point is for people to get a good chuckle. That is not what your intentions are with your complaints. Members Casey
I would just prefer if you ignore me completely and I will do the same to you. Thank you.
Members Greg
Who here at SON finds the "entertainment" and "chuckles" from incohearent psychotic ramblings? Anyone? Maybe some 10 year old boys on here?? GMAFB! We are laughing all right...but not for the reason you think.
Members EricMontreal22
Didn't Agnes Nixon help cause that/ She wrote for Greenlee when she came back--Greenelee was seen as a foil character for the sweet Becka and Scott much as Erica was for Tara and Phil--Agnes was back writing then (1999/2000) when Greenelee proved to obviously be WAY more interesting than Becka (wha a sucky character--and maybe an example of the kinda soap heroine that still sorta worked in the early 70s but doesn't anymore)
Members Cheap21
oh gawd, Becca was BORING. It didnt help that they recasted Scott with a horrible actor. Forbes Marsh is much better now on OLTL as Nash, but he was bland and boring on AMC. Rebecca acted circles around them and Greenlee was the one to root for
Members EricMontreal22
I agree there though i WAY prefered Forbes to the Scott immediately before him (the kinda effiminate one not Danile Cosgrove--I'm not quite sure if he was before or after--i think before?) Members Khan
Wow. It just occurred to me that Greenlee is sort of the lone survivor from that whole Scott/Becca period. She truly has come a long way, hasn't she?
Members DevotedToAMC
The only 10 year old I see is you and your insulting me without even knowing me...trust me, I am far from being psychotic and if you think a rant on a fictional character is proof that someone has lost it, then you need to get out more or possibly consult the DSM on symptoms and signs of psychosis. Maybe you are an expert? Talk about the true 10 year old here. HA! A former friend of mine rants all the time about GH's Sam and everyone laughs at the humor, as did I...I guess, to you, she is psychotic. HA!...maybe if you had a sense of humor, you would see the rants for what they are but I cannot expect much of you as it is. Furthermore, I am nowhere near psychotic and am in no position to recommend therapy and a shrink to someone of the likes of you because, one, I do not need that kind of help and second I am sure you have some therapists on your speed dial. What a pity that none of them are working.
Members DevotedToAMC
Yea she did write that part and created Greenlee...of course, the character grew the longer she was on the screen but Agnes obviously lost her touch if she wanted Scott/Becca to be a newer version of Phil/Tara...because they did not have anywhere near the kind of chemistry that Phil/Tara did. Members DevotedToAMC
Daniel Cosgrove was the best Scott, imo. It was hard to believe that he had no acting experience prior to playing Scott. He just knew the role well and nailed it as far as I am concerned. But DC was right before Forbes...the one before DC was Shame McDermott, who was pretty good.
