Does Sarah Palin carrying her baby who has down syndrome around the campaign trail/rallies turn anyone else off? She wasn't doing this last week, unless it just wasn't discussed or covered.

Lou Dobbs has become such a gas bag. ACORN has to turn in voter registrations. They do not have the option of throwing those out that they believe to be fraudulent. They do tag them. My question to gas bags like Lou Dobbs is how many good registrations has ACORN turned it relative to the number of bad applications? Second, did ACORN flag many of the disputed applications that are being discussed now?

It was a viewer that said that it should happen. He didn't comment on it.

This is what I asked myself a couple of pages back.

It seems that she had the baby with her this weekend after she was found GUILTY and she had him there after the VP debate.

To me it was like she had the baby there so that she could make a quick getaway and avoid the press asking her questions that she didn't want to answer.

Oh well, he's still a gas bag

I was about to reply to what you did have here and I was going to agree with you.

To me it seems that the only time she is carrying the baby while the camera's are one her is when it suit's her agenda, but then that is just MHO

She put her seven year old in a Flyers' jersey thinking that no one in the crowd would boo her but that didn't turn out to be the case.

When you're done click on the link to the Wii Parody.

I'm adding this link to the real Microsoft Surface clip in case you want to see it before the parody:

Thanks Wales. That was freakin' hilarious! Big ass table!:lol:

I think the type of people who fall for this nonsense were going to vote for McCain anyway or maybe not vote at all. I don't think there is a large pool of undecided voters....now there may be some that are reluctant to vote for either and are still wrestling with the idea and I think the majority of those probably fall into the category of being unhappy with McCain but not really wanting to vote for Obama.

Money is going to be the decisive factor for many of those people. The LA Times Parade newsmag printed a tax benefit/cost table yesterday that basically shows that most people aren't going to save more money in taxes with McCain. They showed a solid discrepancy between Obama and McCain on each tier until you get over $112,000. After $250,000 the savings advantage goes to McCain and taxes don't quite double with Obama until you earn over $3 million. I doubt the average person can relate to that though.

I guess it depends on how many obstacles those voters face in getting to the polls and voting as to whether they skip it or not.....like terrible weather. I think that there has been such an urgency that I doubt that a significant number of Obama supporters are going to take the polls as a sign not to vote. If these are people that learn about the polls via the media then they also hear the media constantly ask what Obama has to do to win or to maintain so even though McCain may be using the underdog tag, they probably still see that Obama is the underdog with the media.

I hope you're right.

Praying to God for an Obama Victory October 13th, 2008 4:49 pm ET

I saw Barack Obama speak this weekend in Philadelphia. After the speech, he worked the crowd for a while and then went into a diner. The crowd waited for him to emerge from the diner, but he left through the back parking lot.

What he then did was amazing: instead of driving out with his motorcade, he actually walked down the street (which was blocked off) and met with all the residents in the neighborhood. He came to them. He WALKED down the street and the motorcade followed him.

America.

Impressive.

Cry me a [!@#$%^&*] river.

McCain strategist knocks coverage of extreme rhetoric at rallies

McCain and Palin should have told their supporters that use of the word "terrorist" to describe Obama is uncalled for. They should have ejected the guy that yelled "Kill him" at the other rally. They should have booted out the guy with the monkey doll at another rally. They didn't. IMO, their silence=endorsement.

Now they are crying about it. You reap what you sow.

That's awful.

I think if 4 or 5 years ago, John McCain knew that his supporters would be this bad, he'd be horrified.

I'm politically burned out. That's why I've not been in this thread.

I work for government. I live in a political town. I have friends running for local, county, state and federal office. I just needed a break. Roman and I were talking about this the other night. I think they call it "Political Fatigue".

September was such a hectic month. I think I suffer a little from election fatigue too.  You know the campaign really has not changed much in a week. There is not a lot new to talk about.

I do think the race will start tightening. I don't know if there is enough time left for McCain to turn it around, but I don't see Obama winning by 10 points.
