I could have sworn he said "suspend". But then again, I didn't have the hat on, so maybe my hearing was impaired. He wouldn't have said he's suspending all ads and then turn right around and start airing new ads touting his position he's had since.....yesterday. Would he? Nahhhhhh. Never.

Roman, I think McCain discovered that when reporters question him about lying he could just lie about that too and he's sure this doesn't matter to voters in the least bit. You know maverick speak means sy one thing and do whatever you want and of course, it's Obama's fault that McCain is running those ads because had Obama listened and suspended his campaign to and done it all McCain's way, there'd be no need for the tone of this thing to get negative.

We will hear sometime today, that Obama is also running negative ads, so since Obama broke the truce, McCain had no choice.

As Stephen Colbert said.......he is DEsuspending the suspension of his campaign.

He's now the candidate of change remember? These days change means change your mind often because people can't keep up anyway.

Just to cover the pertinent points now:

The nation's in crisis so he has to get back to Washington right away....after he

cancels with Letterman to see Katie and speaks at Bill's event.

Suspending the campaign means

he can't talk partisan politics at Bill's event.....duh did we think he could do that on a Democrat's dime.

but he can run ads because that's not the same as physically being present at an event while he's in Washington taking pics...because George threw him a lifeline with the whole invite....and the people thought they were above all this.

can't make the debate because it's going to take away from all the negotiating time since it took no time to see call Letterman to see Katie and speak at Bill's event compared to the number of hours that debate is going to consume.

must be sure to get near a mic to remind friends that he is working together for them because now that he's discovered the problem only he and his brand of working across the aisles is suited to resolve this crisis....'cause that's what leaders do and had Senator Obama done what he said....you know the rest.

So the other day, when he was interviewed by Couric. She asked him "When is it ever acceptable to lie to the American people?" He replied "Never" (cuz really, would he or anyone admit that it's OK to lie?).

So yesterday he "suspends" all campaign activities in order to concentrate on the financial crisis.

And today he's still airing ads.

Now I wonder. Did he lie to the American people when he said he was "suspending all campaign activities"?

Like I said before, I don't know why this is pissing me the [!@#$%^&*] off so bad, but it is. It's underhanded. Just like he cock-blocked Obama with his press conference yesterday afternoon. Pathetic.

I guess it's official. The John McCain of 2000 has officially left the building. Now we have the pod Maverick in his place.

You know your party was determined to steal McCain's thunder instead of working on a real compromise right?

And now....the issue of suspension will soon be moot.....so again, how about that Ric Davis getting paid from Fannie Mae....when he wasn't even working for them? Why does Fannie Mae give money for nothing like that?

McCain went there to "Save The Day".......and now looks like a fool because they brokered an agreement without him.

They were close to a deal yesterday afternoon. With the houses of Congress very close in terms of party control, they couldn't have gotten there without some spiteful Repubs joining the fray.

McCain's thunder? More like McCain's blunder.

Actually, it wouldn't surprise me that the McCain camp will cry that the mean 'ol Democrats made a deal just to spite him.

I have nothing in regards to Fannie Mae.
