April 9, 200817 yr Member Something's afoot at AMC, it's got to be, reading upcoming spoilers, I really believe B&E are out, the spoilers sound too GOOD to be their writing..... Oh I hope so!!
April 9, 200817 yr Member I think they're there in name only, either that or someone literally is tying their hands and letting them writing just bits here and there
April 9, 200817 yr Member I really hope B&E are gone! Toups, B&E contracts ends in May right? Officially their one year mark is very early June. I don't know if it's certain their contracts end this year, that would mean they only signed for one year. But ABC could certainly ditch them at the one year mark because it would be the end of a cycle. I think it's possible Addie Walsh and Amanda L. Beall are doing more. I mean, what exactly are they doing at AMC right now if there are no breakdowns? They each wrote one script and that was it. Their job was breakdowns. But they are still listed every day. And today felt like the interim stuff last summer: boring but not boring and bad. Edited April 9, 200817 yr by LeClerc
April 10, 200817 yr Member Scott Hamner has yet to be listed in the credits...do my eyes deceive me? Is the FOLML gone? Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But ABC could certainly ditch them at the one year mark because it would be the end of a cycle. The announcement of their hiring was made sometime in May, and yeah, it's probably their cycle that's coming up. I don't think HWs would sign only for 1 year. It's entirely possible that they're just HWs in name only if Frons has already made the decision to fire them. I guess we'll find out in May or earlier if they are.
April 10, 200817 yr Member Y&R: - Marla Kanelos first listed as Writer on April 11 No lost to AMC....

April 11, 200817 yr Member Jim and Babs really screwed themselves going FiCore. They probably smugly assumed that the Jesse/Angie/realGreenlee returns would save their asses, and guarantee them their jobs for the long term. Of course, none of these returns have done anything for the ratings. Once they're inevitably canned, who would even hire them?
April 11, 200817 yr Member Once they're inevitably canned, who would even hire them? How many times has this question been asked? Somehow, in some miraculous way, these cr*ppy writers always seem to get hired. Before these two came along to hel AMC, who would have said they'd be back in daytime? I can easily assume once Kreizman gets sacked, someone desperate will hire him. This sort of thing keeps repeating itself and no one knows why... Faulty reasoning maybe.

I just meant who would hire them since they'd gone FiCore, not who would hire them because they're crappy writers. If they hadn't gone FiCore, I'm SURE they'd show up somewhere else. Just wondering if their FiCore status has finally done them in.

I know why they decided to take that status, but why Hogan chose it is really beyond me. I just hope this WGA suit solves some problems over at DOOL and ABC.
April 11, 200817 yr Member Jim and Babs will probably retire after AMC, aren't they in their 70's now? Anyway, Fi-Core doesn't mean jack s-h-i-t, if the network wants them, they'll stay.
