I believe I saw Chuck Pratt sitting between Julie Carruthers and Melissa Claire Egan last night at the emmys. It was a very brief shot when Sherri was pointing out Susan Lucci at the beginning.

It looked like Pratt....and whoever it was was eyeing MCE, which further suggests it was Pratt lol.

I hope this means Pratt likes her and wants her on the show, unlike the bears.

So Pratt officially starts Monday, so can we assume his work will most likely debut the last week of July or first week of August, given Beth Ehlers debuts August 5th?

The SoapNet write-up said BE's debut is the beginning of Pratt's stuff kicking in. So it would seem to me that he already started and the Monday thing is just the official date on his contract, because 6 weeks is a relatively short delay.

If anyone wants to check and has it on tape it's when SS is joking about Erica being out of jail for the night. Susan Lucci briefy moves her head so you can see the guy sitting between MCE and Carruthers. I guess it may have been her husband.

And I agree JHC looked quite nice for once last night. Heck even Jill Farren Phelps looked like a woman for once!

I don't think this is the first time BB has approached JHC for Y&R. After PC was cancelled, she approached her then as well, as Michael Logan reported.

That was Pratt at the Emmys. You could also see a shot of him at the beginning of the show, when they "introduced" the casts of all the shows.

I wouldn't take MCE sitting next to him as hard evidence that he plans to keep her. I doubt they had much say in who sat next to each other.

And regardless, Emmy bonding doesn't neccessarily bode well for an actor's job security

I don't think JHC will make the move, but I think Bloom is possibly actively looking for Y&R's next EP. I will be livid if JHC does make the move however, I've never been a fan of her's.

Let's just hope, if this does happen, Bloom makes the right decision...

I actually would be interested to see what JHC could do outside of ABC.

I wonder why she chose AMC over Y&R back in 2003. She could have gotten the #1 show and not have had to relocate her two kids. Is Frons really that great to work for!?

But really: Frons' EPs have very good job security. Phelps, Valentini, Carruthers...they're not going anywhere.

I think JHC realizes that it would have been difficult at Y&R coming in as an outsider to the Bell empire. The job security just wouldn't be there.

JHC just needs to go from AMC.

Doesn't her contract end in Septemeber of this year?
