Oh. My. God. I had a premonition in my dream about this and look - it happened. But everyone had known this was going to happen already.

So, how long before we get the announcement that PASSIONS has struck a deal to continue airing exclusively on iPod?

:(

At least we got an extra few months.

So they tell us Passions is the most successful show on the 101 and then they cancel it? What was the point of telling us that then? Get our hopes up? Sounds to me like DirecTV would've cancelled the show no matter how successful PSNS was - they just wanted new subscribers.

Come on, NBC, bring it back. A 30 min show would be fine. Or you can shop it around again, NBC. Will Frons take shot at grabbing PSNS for SoapNet? CW?

:(

Why would it last air in summer of '08, though? What is it about Passions that allows it another full six or seven months of airtime, even after being cancelled? Are they planning to take it to radio next? YouTube? Broadway?

LMAO!

Apparently, NBC is upset and is still trying to work out a deal for Passions.

That's a really dirty trick, but likely totally true.

People in television are evil!

This truly drives me insane. Why would they cancel the show after three months? Why would they go through the hassle of streamlining it? Why would they sell it to the Canadian channels? Why would the initial deal say 52 weeks? I truly hope this isn't true but I am so over this back and forth nonsense.

I'm sure people who are bored at other boards like to get attention and people like us get suckered into it. Unless there is a confirmation from a Direct TV exec saying that this RUMOR (that's what it is) is true, then you can go ahead and worry.

How do you know that it's Tracey Ross saying this? Where's the proof? Has she made a video of herself and put it on youtube confirming this? I really don't think she would jeopardize her job, unless she was picked up to another show, or was fired from this one and wanted to spread nasty rumors.

It doesn't make sense that the highest rated Direct TV show would get cancelled!

Why stop there? Why not try public access, while you're at it?
