Members All My Shadows
They just showed Susan's part on the special; she was #44. Congrats to her for making it! I believe she was #74 on VH1's list in 2003, but that was also a much longer list...200 I think.
Members dragonflies
Yeah she did pretty good on VH-1's list too, and they said Erica was the most famous soap opera character in pop culture history

Members AMCer
If you look at the whole list Lucci is 44 and at number 45 is none other than Sarah Michelle Gellar, the original Kendall Hart and arch enemy of Susan Lucci. I just thougt that was funny and interesting because of the supposed rivalry, but Lucci wins this one.
Members All My Shadows
Yes, I thought that was definitely hilarious. SMG may have gone on to bigger things, but Lucci is the bigger icon by a mile. Nearly 38 years playing the most popular soap opera character of all time and having legions upon legions of fans...versus the lead role on a now-defunct cult TV show, plus a movie every now and then? The latter sounds tempting, but I'd take the former.
Members RogerNewcomb
Great news. I did a blog about the other soap related folks on the list. Sarah Michelle Prinz (she changed her name) is at #45 one behind her ex-TV mama. http://welovesoaps.blogspot.com/2007/11/50...t-tv-icons.html
Members RuAsRuAnAu
If Genie Francis & Anthony Geary stayed on GH throughout their run, would they be more popular on this list? I am sure they would be.
Members EricaKane70
I think TVLand was trying to start some drama. Dang susan beat larry hagman? He's been on two popular show's, I think he should at least be behind susan. SMG isn't a bigger icon than larry. I'm not agreeing with most of this list, I guess Joan collins is gonna be in the top spot #1 or #2, since she's not listed on that list of soap stars. But, seriously, I'm 21, so that was on when I was still a baby I believe (1978-1991 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077000/), I caught I dream of Genie on Nick at Nite. I've seen most episodes.
