Oh, please don't be offended. It was meant with no malice, and was no underhanded insult, I swear. I never thought of "opinionated" as being a bad thing, ever. You have very strong opinions. Every post I read of yours is very boldly stated. That's SO not a bad thing, at all. But it can come across as curt sometimes (c'mon, even you can't deny that. Other people have said the same thing to you before). But once I realized not to take every post you ever wrote disagreeing with me as a personal affront, I found a new appreciation for you, my friend.

I can be wishy-washy (the back-and-forth on MP is a prime example, and I agree with you). You can be blunt and a little elitist (You use of popular literary foreign phrases, for example). It's the individual fatal flaws of our Internet-posting pseudonyms. I wouldn't have it any other way. :D

Yes, I am guilty of the many things you say. However, I find it ludicrous that some people express great dislike, to put it mildly, for me, my posts etc. I mean - I just use blunt, laconic, very direct posts for comedic effect; I don't use it to offend anyone. By no means does that mean I hate the poster involved! I have said numerous times that I'm more than ready to apologize if someone felt offended. It just never is personal. Never.

And what's wrong with my phrases? I don't want to sound like everyone else; that's why I use the exaggerated examples and metaphors and lots of hyperbole.

Many other people around here are much more guilty of far worse types of bluntness, yet they never receive criticism for it.

I try not to critique ANYBODY (which is probably where my wishy-washy-ness comes from). Which is why I wanted to make it really clear I wasn't criticizing you or insulting you. Just making an observation about how we BOTH come across to other people. But it wasn't criticism, I promise.

And I like your phrases. They keep me on my toes, and when I have to google something to understand it, it helps me learn something new.

Oh, so brimike's not your real name? :) I thought everyone used their real names around here. Like Sylph! :)

Haven't I put a :P ? That should mean something. I was joking, you know?

<_<

Thom Racina is the guy partially responsible for death of daytime. And his Y&R scripts are full of history dishonouring. I have no problems with you liking him. He probably has, like, 2% of the blame. Certainly, hadn't he written the Ice Princess and the Freezing of the World, someone else would have... But that doesn't excuse him.

And if after all my posts and Y&RWorldTurner's you don't know what's wrong with some of her attitudes (note the emphasis on some) - then I cannot help you.

And, yes, after brimike's, who's like a ping-pong ball, jumping from one point of view to the other. Make up your mind already, brimike!!! :P

We all know I don't give a crap about Y&R. I'm just saying after reading your post about what Racina said regarding Michele Val Jean, I was shocked! I just had to hear it for myself! I went back to listen to the interview, thinking I was going to hear some rude, disrespectful comment -- and I was like, "Um... this is it?"

And correction: after all your posts and Y&RWorld Turner's, I don't know what YOU THINK is wrong with some of her attitudes, then you cannot help me. And let me clarify, I know what you think is wrong with them... she dared to defend McTrash and didn't big up Nixon, Broderick and Washam -- I repeat, WASHAM not WASHMAN (I'm just saying, if people are going to beat others up for not praising a person, it comes off a lot more genuine if the people know the person's correct last name... I'm just saying), and she justified the Unabortion (which people in the chat room know I disagreed with that right on the spot). But those were her opinions and views on the issues, HAVING ACTUALLY BEEN THERE.

Unless you and WorldTurner were there as well and can tell a different story...? I mean, since you both know what's wrong with some of her attitudes and I don't.

This is a medical condition known as brimike's syndrome. Meaning: if you read my thoughts on an interview before you listen to it, the dramatic effect of the claims heard isn't the same as if you were to listen to it first and then read the comments.

See, this is either a bizarre case of mingled syntax or post-Beckett's absurd theatre in action. Because I don't know what your claim is: do you know or do you not?

   In all these long years, this is the most juvenile and naïve thing you have ever said and I'm not going to dignify it with an answer (read: rip it apart or pop a balloon, as rhinohide likes to say).

I have no problem with Patrick defending the un-abortion from the perspecitive of being there. But, what kind of excuse is it brought the ratings up and it was something that wasn't done before?

Notice, she never said she thought it was a good story, she simply thought it did its job. However, fans disagree with the long-term damage it caused. The fact that it rewrote an original groudnbreaking storyline is fact enough for me that it didn't do its job, but that's just me.

That's why I say none of us were in the meetings -- we have no idea what the "job" of the storyline was supposed to do. Maybe it was simply that. To get the ratings up.
