I think Marlena/Connie reiterated a lot of what we are feeling as fans of the great soap genre being destroyed by people who don't get it or care about it. I think this opinion is shared by a lot of folks at the soaps and the soap press too, but obviously due to their jobs and responsibilities they can't be as open about it. I expected most of the stories to be resolved but it didn't seem like any of them were. The "Brenda" thing. Why did they even mention it, if they were just going to basically ignore it. Did Robin get shot or does this have something to do with her mother? I was more disappointed with that ending than the Sopranos. LOL I liked seeing the Cody/Lainey story carried over to GH, but I thought carrying over all of the stories at once was too much. That set must have cost a zillion dollars. Thanks to the "In the Zone" guys for reading my question to Marlena the other day. Her answer shocked me a bit. I would amend her statement by saying the networks think they're making soaps profitable, not watchable. If they watched what was being aired on their soaps, they would feel differently.
