Oh, CRAP!!!!!!!!!

Figures....Jack gets around to convincing Carly he's not with her out of pity, and it all blows up in her face. I was tickled pink he got around to admitting all he had left for Katie was guilt (at least that's how I interpreted it..) because he hurt her. Sigh...at least it's before the wedding, not after, 'cause that would have been a hundred times worse.

Two WTF moments....Paul saying he couldn't believe how selfish Carly was, when he'd just come from talking to his married lover, and Brad saying Katie "truly loved" Jack. I FLOVE that Rosanna nailed Paul on what he'd done to hang on to love, but Brad should be slapped for kneeling at Katie's feet, like she's some example. Where was that love when she was stripped to her underwire, begging Brad to screw her? LOL....selfishly, I'm glad Katie finally "gets it"---Jack was never hers.

Oh, and I FLOVED that Lily told Holden off.

I haven't watched the last half of the show yet PJ. Who was the writer for today? I've noticed that whenever Dansby writes these kind of episodes for Carjack, she is much less destructive to Carly in her writing. Culliton always seems to go for the jugular with Carly. And, did you notice in the credits yesterday there's two brand new names on the dialog writers list?

I'm pretty sure today was written by Dansby. Carly sputtered about how she'd tried to tell him over and over, how Jack left Katie on his wedding night to hold her hand. Y'know she'd never even get to defend herself if anyone else wrote for her. LOL. It's about time they added some names...we don't want Susan to get carpal tunnel.

It was Dansby that wrote today. There were only 3 names listed. They have had some names coming and going. I don't know if they were just trying people out or what.

I took it too that Jack mainly feels guilty for hurting Katie but the one he really loves is Carly. Now how long will it take this time for him to realize it? Even Katie gets it. Perhaps she and Brad will wind up being the ones that make Jack come to his senses and forgive Carly and admit that he really loves her. That and the kids I'm sure will help. It will happen. It's just a question of when.

I too was very happy when Lily stood up to Holden. IT's about time.

Paul is always such a hypocrite. That's a big part of why I can't stand him and kudos to Rosanna for calling him out.

Good show today. The weak part was the whole baby drama.

Great show today! I loved all the wedding stuff. I also loved Rosanna telling Paul like it is. And I loved Lily telling Holden off. The only thing I hated about todays show was the directing. Gawd....Michael Elbaum has to be one of the worst directors in daytime. He directed the awful Luke/Noah/Lily/Holden remote. The wedding remote outside with Jack/Carly/Katie was just as bad.

Tomorrow's show looks even better! Poor Carly with Jack driving off. And Babs is on tomorrow. :D

I think the remote scenes are directed by somoene else (Goutman probably) - the director for the studio scenes is the one being credited. It's too bad ATWT doesn't list the remote directors like how AMC does. One thing I like about JHC is that she's credits friendly. :D

Those don't start appearing until the new year. The walk was fine. I am talking about when Carly and Jack were talking while Katie watched. She kept getting closer to Jack and Carly. And Jack didnt see her. Or didnt look her way. Yet, when she was in the car...which we didnt see.....he saw her?...GMAB!!! It would have been better had he seen her while she was watching them and then him running after her with Katie running away. Instead we got a cheap.....OMG...is that Katie in that car....with the camera on Jack...then go to opening theme....GMAB....how bad to start the show. If you are going to use a remote like that. Do it well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the distinct impression the scenes outside the church were hurried along. I was kind of laughing at how Katie could have possibly overheard Jack and Carly from that far away. But I really liked the outdoorsy feeling, and wished we could have seen more people outside the church.

I like the outdoor feeling too. But the botched this one up. Btw.....it reminded me of Lily and Holden's wedding. Everyone was outside the church waiting for Lily to arrive. I so loved that remote.

    • I will defend Dante.  People already suspect he may be a bit unstable from time to time (from his time as a prisoner).  And, he's taking care of other people's kids from time to time.  So, he has reason to be cautious with those in his care.
    • Josh continues to try and milk Abbott/Newman rivalry. First it was Billy/Victoria, then Kyle/Summer, then Noah/Allie (that worked out well) and now Kyle/Claire. Do we have any inkling when Billy Flynn will arrive and who he will play? I'm sure Cole's illness will mostly play offscreen. What's in store for Nick and Sharon? Is it time to put them back together? I can't see any other romantic options. Nick has no children on the canvas to play off, as Christian is never seen. Sharon has only Mariah onscreen.
    • I would appreciate (if they're not coming), for future scripts to refer to them by their iconic hairdos.  For example, if Hope needs to call Chelsea because Bo has Sepsis, I'd like Shawn-D to say, "My Mom called Chelsea (the one with the sassy short black hair) for an update." Also, new rule, if Melanie does return, she needs to dye her hair back to red.  I googled who she was five times during Victor's funeral.

    • Broderick, thank you for all of the info [I edited for space]. I am so grateful for everyone filling in the blanks for me. I suspected the Nora/Eliot scene was very important and it was setting something up but I didn't know what. Can't wait to see it play out. The two actors had such a great back and forth. I should have made the Paige/Patty Hearst connection. I thought Paige was in love with Brian from the first episode I watched but it seemed as if they were brother and sister. Steve kept being affectionate with her so I assumed he was the love interest. Then she was affectionate with someone else and well..she's a very busy woman. I can't wait to see Frances Fisher show up. (I'm trying to be vague because I don't know what would be a spoiler in this storyline) Now it makes sense why Draper would be upset. I didn't get the whole background of why he didn't go to NY. I'm a sucker for good acting, so I might still side with April and Margo, if the writers don't give Draper more to do besides yelling.  He had more chemistry with Logan, but I know that's not happening.  Something else I noticed: the show really takes care with even the smallest parts. The acting is superb. Too often, I noticed on older soaps they don't take care with the recurring or day players (Ryan's Hope was so bad with this that I couldn't make it through some episodes). It's only been six episodes, but so far, the casting department was spot on.
    • I thought Dante was overreacting.  Gio made some mistakes but he's young and he tried.  It's not like he dragged two 14 years to a party and made them get blackout drunk.  Dante can have the initial upset reaction, but to go on and on was a bit much.
    • His (adoptive) nieces.  Chelsea and Stephanie.  I think Abby was involved too, but I am not sure if they are related lol.
    • That was such a dark story. I never liked Swamp girl after that. And then the dating your cousin thing. I think wasn’t Max in a triangle with two of his cousins?
    • Thank you, @j swift.  I'm probably more sympathetic to Draper Scott than most audience members are -- even though I'm absolutely CRAZY about Ann Williams & her bizarre Margo Huntington character

The more I watch these episodes -- and I've watched several of them a zillion times, I'm ashamed to admit -- you realize there's a WHOLE lot of passive-aggressive hostility brewing inside Margo Huntington about Draper.  She wants to take April AWAY from him and recreate the childhood that she never got to experience with April, because of the adoption 25 years ago.  Draper has sense enough to realize how heartless and vindictive Margo really is about other people's lives and their feelings, but he bites his tongue rather than poison his wife's mind about how horrible her mother really is.  And I admire him for that.  He's a sweet boy.
    • Unfortunately, as the 90s wore on, Felicia started wearing as many gray and neutral tones as Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan could produce, and the shoulder pads deflated to a drop sleeve.
    • I think Dante is reacting how most parents would react.
