It looks like this week is when the tagline goes into effect? I think there are going to be some interesting moments this week and some people may get their eeeeing in.

Here's a link to the promo shown at SSW:

The quality isn't that great and you can't really hear the audio due to the audience screaming but it's enough to get the gist of what's to come.

I'm teasing of course :P

Seriously though. I am happy. I've disliked their storyline from the beginning. I thought it was half-assed agenda based writing that destroyed 3 couples just to bring one to life. However, I can still like them and hate their story. I was a Liason fan going back to the beginning. That is how I wish they would have written them. Having them re-discover their love after being hurt by those who loved them, and coming together, realizing that they were meant to be together.

Instead, we've gotten nothing but out of character writing for them. The way I consider it (and some others), what we're seeing now is Jiz. Half assed writing, etc. etc. Liason, the couple I fell in love with hasn't existed since that blonde bitch came and stole Jason from Elizabeth.

Thanks for the response. I didn't even think my post had gone through because my IE started going bonkers and I had to shut down my pc.

I didn't at all care for Courtney but she and Jason were supposed to be the ultimate couple and one of destiny....see how that worked out. They basically had to negate Jason's feelings for Elizabeth to proceed with that relationship.

I like the way you wanted the story to go and IA with you that it would have been a whole lot better than it is being told but I'm not so fazed by the way it went down though. I don't have a problem with the three couples ending because I've seen them end or derail couples to facilitate others before and I'm not altogether convinced that Ric and Alexis were ended for that purpose either because that also brought about some mother/daughter conflict and had they elected to keep Jason and Sam together the Ric/Alexis thing would have been the same.

If I thought the writers intended on leaving any of the couples in long relationships and then one day just went haywire out of the blue, then I'd find it really odd but I don't think that was the case. Even though it ended up having a trickle effect, I still see the events as also being self contained. As ugly as it looks to some people, they at least got more drama from this route as opposed to everyone realizing their relationships had reached a fork in the road. If I hadn't read online reaction to this, I wouldn't have even given it another thought except for oh so now they're finally putting Elizabeth and Jason together.

Lucky :(

Thank you for punching Saint Jasus.

Down with LIARson! I can't believe Elizabeth lied to Lucky about Jake. I always get sad whenever I watch those Lucky/Liz scenes from the 90's. But Guza is known for destorying a couple to prop up another couple. It's is M.O.

    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.
    • Today is Sean Freeman's birthday

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
