Sure wish I'd get more of Viki instead of the traveling foursome. Loved the short scenes with Viki and Charlie and I can't wait to see their date.

Enjoyed the stuff with Marko, Langston and Starr.

Very excited to see the Buch stuff tomorrow at the ranch.

I too, would love more of the Viki storyline and wish the Tommy/Marcie/Michael/Todd/John storyline would END already! What is up with Gigi, either she is really sweet or up to something?!!

Today the show was good, really balanced. My favorites were the TX storyline, David and Alex had some really good one liners! Even Roxy was funny with her worrying about being a grandmother. I did not even mind the teens, especially with the DEATH guy drugging Cole!! Anyone think it is Miles? He drugged Todd, why not Cole?

As for tomorrow, the previews did look promising. :)

I am hating the Paris, TX stuff. All of the characters, except for Vicki and Charlie, can go off screen tomorrow and I wouldn't miss them for a second.

I would be liking the kidnapping stuff better if we had more of the Todd/Blair/John scenes rather than Marcie staying in bars and with huricane victims.

I enjoy the Langston story with the Mannings and Dorian helping her.

Much better show than it was a few months ago, that for certian.

Clint was finally acting like a father today with Jessica and Natalie, to bad he doesn't tell Sarah to act like an adult as well. Matthew was cute when he was telling the story about the gun on the wall, I'm really liking the stuff at the ranch thus far, hope there is a lot more good stuff to come.

Really enjoyed the conversation between Starr and Dorian, and I reluctently admit that I am liking Clint and Nora. LOL.

Viki left Llanview the day of Asa's funeral after Dorian called her on not having a life of her own or making her own decisions or having any fun following another one of their fights while being locked in the wine cellar together. She went to Texas, stopped at the cafe, forged a friendship with the waitress and owner, and decided to take a part time job for some fun. It's reinvigorated her. She's friends with Gigi, and she is crushing on Charlie. Her family thinks she is in Paris, France.

I don't know about everyone else, but I am enjoying the reading of Asa's will. It's nice seeing nearly all the Buchanan's in one place for once, and getting some airtime.

And so far this month, with 7 out of 21 episodes aired so far, Nigel has been on six days, Renee four, Alex five, David four, and Nora and Viki four.....so things are starting to look up, at least for the time being anyway. :)

    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
