SPOILER WARNING FOR US VIEWERS!

Man I was gonna wait till tomorrow to post my comments, but I just couldn't wait.

If you thought Tuesday's episode was sad....Wednesday's will leave you in even worse shape.

This is of course the episode where John finally lets go and Marlena (and everyone) says goodbye to him.

Deidre Hall was AMAZING, especially in her final scene with John...it was so good because the emotion was SOOOOOOO real...SO heartfelt.

This is the sh*t emmy's were made for!!

I have felt drained all day because of the 2hrs i spent watching DAYS today.

If ever there was en episode for DAYS to not just be nominated for, but WIN the Drama Series emmy...this is it!

Peter Reckell gave me the first cry of this episode. It's the reason he's #2 on my best actors on Daytime list. He's just so amazing. He played it so true to Bo's character, and it just gave me chills.

I agree Pest Spray, Reckell was powerful during his scenes.

Lauren Koslow was the next to make me cry with her performance. I'm going to miss John and Kate's sorta-firendship.

It just ended.

The final John/Marlena was so emotional and fantastic. I mean just...wow. Beautiful and well done.

Goodbye John Black...

Does anyone else have ComCast Digital Cable? They need to change it to Comcraptic Digital Crap. It is jumping all over the place. ERRR! I am so pissed. If they are still putting episodes up on Itunes I'm gonna have to buy this.

I just watched Thursday's US episode (Canada's Wenesday episode) and John's funeral is the BEST soap funeral I have ever seen. Words cannot describe the level of acting, emotion, production and casting this show brings to a vetern character's funeral. Truly Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't cried this much watching an episode since Stone died on GH. The acting was amazing, the dialog was amazing and everything was just filled with emotion.

Any time John & Marlena were in the same frame it made me cry. Whether you like John or not, no one can deny the chemistry and love between John & Marlena. They are probably the best couple to ever exist on a soap. Their love had stood the test of time and as a fan and has been an exciting ride to follow in my young 21 years on this earth.

I am angry that I've been robbed of the chance to see them over the past year the way they should have been...front and center. But I'll embrace the time I did have with them. Remember the good times and the bad, and reflect on how lucky I was to have been part of many to follow their amazing love story.

The only part of the episode that I didn't like was anything involving the younger set. IMO, more respect should have been shown. Hell, fill those scenes with flashbacks of John & Marlena for all I care.

***k the younger set. They will never be able to create the same kind of emotional connection w/ their fans the way the other characters have. Damn it....

They kind of brought the whole cast out today, which was nice, and it was nice they sort of connected the John storyline with the teen stuff, but overall the sorority house was such an intrusion. The Nick/Jeremy/Maggie stuff was at least more serious so it wasn't as jarring. Still, I wouldn'tve minded if all of today was at the hospital. Yay Maggie, yay Kate, it was good seeing them (I agree it'd be nice if Maggie was there for Marlena).

Martha and Joe are my MVP's of the day, though just about everyone at the hospital was doing well (was not feeling Ali though).

Sad day, touching last moments for the DH's. They should have had more material coming in to this. It'd only be fair that Dee gets something substantial coming out of it. Farewell John Black!

So now does this mean after a long period of mourning, Marlena reunites with Roman? If that happens, wouldn't it be great if they can convince Wayne Northrop to fill Roman's shoes once again? (Sorry Josh, but you are not nor have you ever been Roman).

When did you start watching? Because, minus the few months of Marlena as the serial killer, in the last 6 or so years, this is the first time the camera's been on her for more than two seconds. There is no one better at raw, pure emotion than Deidre Hall. And based on the previews for Friday's episode, she'll do the anger to perfection as well.

We should just rename this Deidre Hall's Emmy Week of 2007.

I agree. It should have ended with everyone out of the room, only Marlena there as there's a beautiful, haunting song playing (their song would be nice too - If It Wasen't For Your Love which played for the first time when Marlena "died" in 2004) while she washes his face, hands and his body, in tears before just crumbling beside or over him as it fades out and we see them alone in a room from far away.

It's just that people have posted in the past (obviously not here) that Ms. Hall conveys emotion with a blank stare and that she always sounds like she's reading her lines rather than saying her lines. Guess people were wrong, eh?

I'm kinda hoping they would hold off on Roman and Marlena (until they can convince WN to come back, if not then no way).

With Drake gone, Wayne Northrop back as Roman would be the perfect way to go, recapturing all of that magic that they shared as a couple! It seems possible at this point that bratty Sami may finally end up getting (one of) her lifelong wishes!
