Timbaland is changing his tune just a bit. The rapper-producer, who collaborated on hit songs with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, is set to appear on the ABC soap "One Life to Live." He'll be performing the single "The Way I Are" with Keri Hilson.

Well, he's a "hipper" musical talent than the soaps usually get.

And he steals songs.

I actually like Timbaland and "The Way I Are" is a damn catchy song.

OLTL has scored some big talents since they started this musical gig thing.

Why?

This is my favorite song of this summer! Sadly I won't be able to watch it, haha. I do find it weird though that a rapper of his status would choose to perform on a soap opera. I mean, he obviously can't be hurting for money or gigs, and in my mind this could hurt his street cred in some ways.

You can throw the street cred thing to the side because Timbaland isn't one of those kind of rappers. He cusses and uses the n word alot but he isn't what you would call a gangsta rapper.

Here's an added tidbit....Soap Opera Digest Editor Lauren Flynn will appear as an extra in the same episode as Timbaland.

The Way I Are? Does this person not know how to speak? Shouldn't it be The Way I am or The Way We are? It makes no sense to me. Just proves the point that I am old.

If doing a soap after producing Timberlake and Madonna doesn't make you a media whore, I don't know what does. Courting a forgotten audience when you don't need to is a stab at world domination.

I didn't want to bitch about it to and sound annoyingly pedantic.

The grammer is more than questionable but that still doesn't take away the fact that the song's gotta be one of the catchiest ones playing on the radio these days.
